I consider myself a person who dislikes everything that includes cliché romance. How did I ended up playing an Otome game then you may ask? Well, to put it simply, I am broke and so a certain "free games" section couldn't be avoided.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the story of Cinderella Phenomenon though. So here's my review for those who are not sure whether to play this game or not.
(NO SPOILERS INCLUDED)

As the official description says - you are the Crown princess of the Kingdom Angielle who is struggling to come to terms with her step-family. After the death of your mother you feel betrayed by everyone, including your only living family - your father, and you turn into a cold-hearted living piece of ice. As a punishment you are given the Cinderella curse. In just one day your whole life is shattered and stolen away. Will you be able to redeem yourself and grow from a heartless Ice Princess into a young powerful Queen..?

The story very much original - there are 5 unique love interests (who are same as you - under the influence of the Fairytale curse which creeps upon the kingdom) that unlock two different endings. So calculated and counted, you have 10 endings, all of them with their own little magic and I am guaranteeing you won't be bored with any of them. I didn't find one scene that would be repetitive or already seen in any of the previous routes. Of course, it wouldn't be an Otome game without romance. But honestly, I wouldn't had spent 28 hours on it if it was out-and-out Romeo and Juliet. Nonetheless all of the potential partners have unique and authentic personalities and that's what really made me enjoy the genre. Because they felt very much alive, unlike in any other Otome games I've been looking at recently, because I wanted to find a somewhat good story similar to this. So if you're not looking for those „over sweetened“ games embedded in Highschools full of stereotyped cute dull guys with no personality at all, this game is definitely for you! I also enjoyed the art, music and the story of the game which was very well written. There were parts that made me laugh as well as parts that left me broken for hours (No, I am still not over Rod's bad ending, leave me alone). Although not even CP could avoid some clichés, I think they managed to keep them just about right considering this was a fairytale story. To my surprise, not all good endings were finished in „Prince Charming on a white horse“ style, which made me very pleased because it brought a spark of authenticity in the story.

So do I recommend the game? Absolutely! For a person who never played an Otome game before I enjoyed the game so much I decided to buy Dicesuki's Cinderella Phenomenon digital Artbook available here on steam. Considering the game is free, I felt that was the least I could do to support such an awesome story.

Lovely point and click game full of British humour and murder solving adventure!

The Adventures of Nick and Willikins has pleased my "love for point and click games" more than I have expected!
Although I have played this game for almost 3 hours, I am sure you'd be able to complete it sooner.

Pros:
+ Simple but beautiful art style
+ Good voice acting
+ Humour and puns
+ Awesome characters
+ Ending you won't expect!
+ You can save your progress any time
+ It's FREE!! (Although I'd definitely pay money for this!)

Cons:
- You HAVE to click on everything in order to find stuff you need to go further on
- The constant walking from one place to another can get a bit tiring (although you can double click on the arrows to go faster)
- There isn't any form of "help"/tips if you get stuck
- the animation is a bit "wobbly"

Overall I think this short game was a really fun experience. I totally suggest it for people who like point and click adventures, british humour, nice graphics and murder solving!

It's a 9/10 from me!
