Man, this game is still killer in 2016. It's a shame the game's a bit buggy, but I dealt with it. I lost almost 2 hours of gameplay due to the game crashing and having cloud saves enabled. Definitely disable them! This remaster doesn't have the weird ♥♥♥ mouse issues the OG version has, but I guess it has lower res textures? I dunno, I didn't really notice. It still looks solid to me and I just finished the new Doom recently. As of 10/22/2016, I had to enable VSync to fix the texture flickering. Kind of a bummer on a 144hz monitor, especially with how it makes the mouse feel, but after you get your groove in the game you start to just get used to it and forget you even had it enabled. Just save often in case you're experiencing crashes and you'll enjoy one hell of a game. No lame difficulty spikes, tedious backtracking, or anything like that. Just a good time.

By the way, my game only crashed twice. I know there's reviews that state they had many more, but take that as you will. Main components are a 3770K at stock and an 8GB RX 480 also at stock. Definitely nowhere near as bad as when Fallout 3 was on Games for Windows or whatever. I had to save like every 2 minutes in the final hour of the game because it was crashing constantly, haha.
