As a hunter, proceed to viciously exterminate the wildlife and upset the local ecological balance in the name of protecting it. Murder your way through 5 different maps mindlessly killing and eating every living thing such as the unborn young of apex predators (wyvern eggs), thousand year old insects which survived until meeting you (godbug), and rare plants, fungi and fish. Then display the carcasses of your hunts on your body as armour and hunt down the siblings of the monster you just slew…

You are accompanied on this journey by the most annoying partner ever that endlessly puts you in life threatening positions while trying to accomplish her life mission of eating every single thing in the new world. Befriend the local natives by stalking them, forcefully kidnapping them, bribing them and invading the privacy of their homes. Also, prepare to get your neck snapped regularly.

No G rank yet. Monsters are easier on solo. You can eat while walking/running. Seamless no map experience with huge multilayer maps. Only 1 water monster. Mods for PC. New weapon mechanics. Fun.

Having played the series since DW4, DW8XL is still a fun run with some new faces and plenty of old characters that we know and love.

This installment generally does what we've come to expect from such a title: a fun hack n' slash game at its core, supplemented with alternative history storylines for each character and some nice costumes and movesets.

I would like some more strategy in place though, such as map changing flood strategems or ambush, etc, and bodyguards. While these are in Empire, it's a nice touch if some of these could be used in DW8, maybe on a smaller scale.

Also, more boob physics please.

The money grubbing DLC costumes packs are too obvious but hey, you can have perfectly fine gameplay without them. It's almost unlikely that these DLC will ever be on sale though, so if you are trying to get a special themed costume for your favourite character for cheap, good luck.

It's been nearly two years since release and Stellaris still has a slew of significant bugs.

On release, it was an initially fun game that lacked end game content and polish.

Now, 3 expansions later, it still lacks polish, and is still buggy.

Ascension perks completely break the species identity and cause mayhem with playthroughs.

The 2.0 patch (aka Cherryh) aka Apocalypse DLC patch promises to finally introduce some sorely needed features such as fleet templates, war exhaustion, casus belli, army width, etc.

Diplomacy is still lacking, as are other aspects cruicial to 4K games.

I really hope the game is fixed so I can enjoy it and recommend it.

Grindy, unimaginative, poor graphics, uninteresting. The only thing this has going for me is the genetics combiner.

The first half of the game is great, well thought out, and well polished.
The second half of the game is half garbled together from the ashes of Kojima's departure.
