I'm sorry, this is just lacking in every step of the way.
The writing is incredibly boring, should have read the actual book instead of buying this audiobook with pictures.
11 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ endings instead of a single firm conclusion to the story.
Weird, NPCesque dialogues between the main characters.
Failed to recreate the retrofuturistic aesthetic in a sufficient way, and didn't even show enough of it.
It's a solid 3/10, no way i'm replaying for a single different ending, let alone all 11.

Generally it's a good experience, so my answer is "yes", play this game, it's great and it's a great sequel.
- Visual design of the areas is phenomenal, really loved the beauty and it fits the game very well.
- Cool new mechanics that you have to master.
- The writing continues the legacy of the first game, this time it took a slightly different route, the first game was a question of "what it means to be a human" and now it's "what's next for humanity"

However, there are a lot of things i didn't like in the game, some of them have really spoiled the experience for me, and i would've liked to get rid of them completely.
- Didn't really like the UI design, it feels utterly soulless, or as people like to say now, "AI generated".
- The dialogues between the characters are poorly written, by the end of the game they all still felt like NPCs that you randomly encounter on the street. Sure, they express different emotions and opinions on the matter, but ultimately you could get rid of any of these people and the story wouldn't change as much.
- Vast open spaces. Why? It seems to be some sort of fixation of Croteam in the recent games, just make a large open space and make the player run a marathon every time he needs to get to any location. I just don't get it. Sure, you can say it was a plot device, to show the grandeur of the megastructure, but i think it could be done in a much smaller scale. The map was so big they had to make a task bar and a compass to actually find the points of interest. Which in my opinion destroyed any motivation to explore.
- "Wow, you did it! I could've never done it!". This one pissed me off the most. Why did you think this was a good idea??? Did you really have to treat your player like a 5 year old child? I know i solved the puzzle! I know where to go next! Compliments from NPCs are not what motivates me to play this game!
- The hard puzzles are locked behind the normal puzzles. You have to get through the whole game in order to actually get to the challenging stuff. For me as an experienced player, it was a jarring task of getting through the easy puzzle, running 40km to another puzzle and then solving another easy puzzle. At least the golden puzzles are actually challenging.

Overall, all of the criticism i have haven't made me quit the game, so I could experience this game's beauty and writing. This is a good sequel, but it could be better.
