This is better than the original, and that's saying a lot.

While long-time fans of the franchise might not favor this game, me, a complete beginner to both Total War and Warhammer itself, am very satisfied with this game, lots of interesting battles to partake in and lords to play with mechanics that don't overwhelm you at every turn like other similar strategy games. This game seems to have a taken a much more easy to get into, hard to master type of gameplay style that I enjoy.

And most importantly for new players, the game has an excellent tutorial in both the regular mode and the prologue mode which I recommend to take first as it gets you pretty much up to speed for your first campaign.

Definitely recommended to new fans who are looking to get their first Total War game and would like it to be a more fantasy-based setting.
