Tyler is so fricken cool. do the math on the active players and sales numbers and youll realize this cat hit it big, dude drops THE GAME and its more of a concept behind THE GAME and he can just bankroll development on it 4va like beyond that if tyler and his epic team can commit to this title theyll be set for the rest of their lives by making potentially one of the greatest pieces of interactive media weve experienced to this quarter century. 2025 is looking good.

Everything done right for this kind of game, I am excited to purchase this just to give the devs my money. Bravo Team Half Sword, Bravo.

Now, I’m seriously starting to think Matthias is more cyberpsycho than choom at this point. Forget the coke—he’s got something deeper fried in his neural net. Guy can’t even handle downloading 75 barotrauma mods, like we’re asking him to hack into Night City’s top corpos. But nah, instead of doing anything useful, he's out here spitting in people's Skop Dogs at that dive he works at. Straight up spitting choom—and I'm supposed to be cool with that? Feels like his whole moral compass got fried in a blackout.

This is the same guy who iced some corpo suit-tie when he was seven. Yeah, full-on murked the gonk, like some twisted origin story for a cyberpsycho. And now, he doesn’t even wanna crack open the cyber Bible. Like, can’t be bothered to do anything that might make him check himself. It's like he's glitching out, rejecting anything that keeps him from spiraling deeper into the gutter.

You’d think with all that chrome rattling around in chooms, he'd at least have the decency to act right. But nah, he’s just not there anymore, its like hes a rogue, doing his own thing with no conscience, no limits. I’m done watching this gonk melt down into some kind of feral street kid with no respect for anything. Not for me, not for anyone. If he wants to crash and burn, let him—but I’m not getting dragged down into the gutter with him.

You're supposed to release content instead of announcing it for months

this is honestly not representative of how i feel about this game, changing this to a positive review because this is a legitimately great game that i want more from. i see the dev's posting updates, and im unreasonably salty because the content looks interesting and would easily make me dump 90 more hours into if i could just get a little more out of it like how rim world or songs of syx can tickle me.

On sale for a dollar and a half? I hope this brings the population back, amazing game with a stable community for people who dont play milsim games like this.

Jank but beautiful, entertaining down to the core. EFT looting is whatever of a feature and I just hope they refocus the core feature else where and put the whole looting thing to the side as just "another means to a end", Id love to see more of the Rope employed rather then the Stick. Porting, rescue, escort and aid missions are a must, maybe even random events for one of the warring factions(donate ammo, medical supplies to a unit. Doesn't even have to be a prompt just adding the means to improve reputation and interacting with the AI would be cool), but incorporating the importance and impact of those things is still a feat to make it feel good for the individual player. sound design is nice and I love the soundtrack, its very reminiscent of RE4's and Silent hills soundtrack's sometimes and it creates a great atmosphere. If you like a game you'll play it, the water mechanic should be reworked but in the 3 hours ive played i already have a weeks worth of water so get good if that's your biggest nothing burger complaint. I just hope Fun Dog has as straight and narrow sense of scope of a road map in mind, hopefully prioritizing the stability of what they have over developing new features like how they spoke about in their Q&A. Its a fun game at its core, if they can polish this and build it up im sure people will catch on to it and realize its a great COOP game as of right now, and for the price its not that bad to bring up to your buddy's, i mean like whos broke in 2024? But now, in terms of criticism I will say whatever is going on with the aiming needs to be reworked, if its based more on momentum than forced mouse acceleration then im unloading buckets, but right now it feels nauseating. If they made the movement in general feel a little bit like how death stranding's movement then its mint but right now it just aint cutting it G, W(forward) doesn't work sometimes when coming out of menus or when getting abruptly stopped, you get caught on level geometry, props, corners, and walls and its very frustrating. Fov and the camera is very upsetting as well, at this point all 3rd person games should have shoulder swapping I cant handle not using my magic floating 3rd eye, if you dont want to have the ability to use your camera as a 3rd eye in your video game then make a first person only game, which this game would be fantastic as if it wasn't for the COOKED FOV. And speaking of COOKED things, The fidelity settings cause a lot of issues if you dont tweak them immediately, even with top of the line builds (4060Ti, 64gb, m.2, Ryzen7) the game can give you some major problems FPS wise. I hate to say im hopeful for this game but truly I am. ill be in it for the long- or perhaps short run. I just hope more people can see the diamond in the rough thats The Forever Winter. Does that mean buy it and hope for the best? no lmao. buy it and have a good time? if you want. I did, i dont need to cope about it in a cringe way unlike some people.
