Yeah this game is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good!
It's a rare turn-based tactics game that isn't "xcom but..." and it does everything so well, from the level design, to the character abilities, to the writing, everything is just absolutely amazing.
(can you tell I really like this game?)

Limbus is a surprisingly good for a gacha game (mostly because it's barely a gacha game).
the gameplay is pretty fun & the art is good, though the writing is by far the best part; project moon have always been good about it & they're definitely not slacking here.
(also go play the other project moon games they're great & well worth your time if the writing of this game at all interests you)

(also also ignore all the people going insane about feminism in these reviews, the game did a joke beach episode and didn't have any bikinis in it, which sent people insane for some reason)

the combat is fun enough but the rest of the game kinda sucks, I can't recommend it in it's current state.

as it currently stands there's basically nothing to do with a character after you hit level 30 because getting worthwhile new gear is such a massive slog, just random rolls after completing a mission that you can't influence at all.

the map variety is in a similar place, there are like 5 locations with maybe 2 layouts per location so it all gets stale incredibly quickly

just go play deep rock galactic honestly, it's so much better.

they got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ machinegirl on the soundtrack, this ♥♥♥♥ kicks ass so hard go play it now

Rimworld is maybe the worst game I've ever played, though it took me 1100 hours to realise that so ymmv

go play dwarf fortress instead, it's a much better game in (basically) every possible way.

its gungeon but better in every single way, this game the whole thing slaps my entire bod

kenshi is like rimworld, but it takes the realism up to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 11 in some places

It's a very good game, if a bit slow at the start

I WAS ONE OF THE FIRST 1,000 PLAYERS TO PLAY THE GAME, BEFORE IT WAS ON STEAM, AND I USED TO PLAY MADLY FOR A WEEK, THEN GET BORED AND NOT PLAY FOR A WEEK, AND SO ON. good now i got that out of my system i can write the review.

im all for the new weapons and full spectrum combat, but the rmoval of teirs? THAT WAS TOO FAR!
all they need to do is re implement tech points, one per match, and one for each tower captured and player killed.
also the need to re implement teired armour my giving each teir a different skin!, then they can still have painting!

final verdict good/ bad? i dunno really whatevs bye

ps i also predicted missile launchers when heli blade came out, but not as they are now.
