Early Access Review
Pretty much the most realistic political simulator out there right now. I have watched this game come a long way and the developers really care about making it as realistic as possible. You can run for all political offices, create legislation, play for hundreds of years, and more! It's a great way to pass the time and run the country your way.

Such a great classic from Frontier. Played this on the PS2 for hundreds of hours. Came back to it all these years later, so nostalgic. I still play it on my PS2 from time to time as well. Always worth the buy.

I was once told "You're worried about countries you don't live in, what are you, Joe Biden?" Yes, I'd like to say I am.

They will never fix this game's issues. Game blows, every time I get on it's worse. Stay away.

I loved the original LEGO Star Wars games and when I saw the trailer for this it was wild to me how much has changed.

I originally played the demo during the Steam Fest they had for new upcoming small team games. I went through all of the games offered and then found Cult of the Lamb. Since I played the demo, I was extremely excited to try the game out.

After beating the game and spending time with everything, I think I can safely make a review. The game as a whole is really addicting and fun. You will be able to beat the entire game within 20 hours of playing maybe more if you spend a lot of time building stuff for your camp.

The weapons in the game are good enough to get the job done. There is some personal preference for them. Some are better for aggressive play and the others are better for passive, slow play. It really just depends on your play style. The paths themselves are pretty straightforward. You enter rooms progressing through and killing enemies. You face a few mini bosses and then move onto the main boss for that area. Each main boss has its set of unique powers and attack patterns. Once you can figure them out, it's pretty easy.

You can basically max out your cult extremely quickly. If you spend all of your time at the cult, you can easily get all upgrades in under 10 hours of play. That is one of my negatives about the game. It felt like you unlock everything way too quickly. Far before the final boss, you already have everything unlocked.

The game (as it stands, first couple weeks of release) has its fair share of essentially game breaking bugs. I have been soft locked in rooms several times. I also had an invisible enemy spawn in and was essentially unkillable. Make sure you buy the Omnipresent upgrade early on as that will help with any soft locks. I have also glitched through the wall of the main worship hall and was able to walk through the void and come back. That's my second negative (this will change with the updates given).

The game is replayable. You can create multiple saves. However, your saves wont be as unique when it comes to your cult itself. You can basically only go two different pathways with doctrines, once you do the opposite of what you originally did, there isn't much else you can change. The only replayable aspect is the different difficulties. But, if you end up mastering the attack patterns, this will become a breeze.

Overall, I love the game. I spent over 20 hours playing from release day until now (and counting). I can excuse all of the bugs because it is to be expected. The developers have said they will update the game down the road as well. There have been updates released these past couple days. I personally think the game is worth buying. I also hope they add more to increase its replayability, because right now it needs more.

I laughed a lot at the animation and soulless expressions from the characters.

At least it was $3. The game never loads or freezes right before a game. I've tried verifying cache and all that, doesn't change anything. Really wish the games worked as well as the older versions.
