Quality game.

Early impressions after 7 and a half hours.

Cons:
- World Tour mode isn't really my thing so far. Maybe it will grow on me. I don't like fighting with an incomplete moveset, and I don't like time waster fights that offer no challenge.
- Modern controls annoy me, and being forced to use them in the beginning of World Tour annoyed me more. I was not off to a very happy start with this game
- As with most modern fighting games, paying $60 doesn't get you the whole game. Prepare to spend more for all characters

Pros:
- This game has a style and personality that I instantly fell in love with, and reminds me a little of 3rd Strike
- I dig the soundtrack
- Every character I've used so far has been unique and entertaining. I've never had a harder time figuring out who to main
- Even with classic controls, it's extremely approachable. No 100+ move lists like in Tekken, but it doesn't feel too dumbed down either. The feel of the core gameplay is very good in a way that's hard to put into words - you're able to focus on the strategy of the fight because the execution aspect isn't over-engineered.

I'm a casual scrub, so I don't have too much to say about advanced mechanics, but I've played (poorly) almost every major fighting game ever made and I think this belongs in my top 5. It strikes just the right balance between challenging gameplay and fun.

This is a good starting point, and I think my review will change to a positive one at some point, but it wasn't a good idea to replace CSGO with an early release that lacks community servers and custom maps. Mileage may vary for competitive players, but for me this is a very barebones demo to play in short sessions while waiting for the laid back fun communities (if they haven't been scared away by the hostile takeover of everything they've built)

The amazing, nostalgic soundtrack alone was worth the purchase. Gameplay is fun and challenging. Runs on Linux flawlessly. Pretty easy to recommend.

I'm four an a half hours in and maybe my opinion will change if I have the patience to play more, but I'm not a fan at the moment. I feel like I'm being moved along an assembly line from point to point. Talk to this person. Clear this group of mobs. That's it. There's no challenge and it's just incredibly boring so far.

I was a huge fan of old-school R6 and really wanted to like this, but it just doesn't have a good feel to it. Animations are bad, bordering on broken. Sprinting requires holding a button down for some time, so there's always a delay (one would think sprinting is something you'd want to do with some urgency). There are many glitches where the camera pokes through a wall, which is forgivable in early access, but the sum of all of this game's issues makes it hard to recommend right now. I don't think this is worth its current price, and there is a huge mountain to climb in polishing this game, but if they get there it could be worth more than double its current price.. so my advice is keep an eye on it.

Has huge potential! Just finished my first game after 26hrs play time and loved every minute of it.

Can't wait to see what's in store for future development. They've got the core gameplay down pretty well already, so the thing I'm hoping to see more than anything else is lots of variation in scenarios / maps for max replay value.
