The game is complete trash. It's the worst kind of game where you have to switch off your brain for 50 levels with no thinking required.

It is designed for weebs incapable of strategy.

The ability to play solo or multiplayer makes a huge difference, as does having your own dedicated server.

Launched the game. Permanent white screen, Icon not showing at bottom of screen. Tabbed out, tabbed back in, menu showed but completely unresponsive. Would make a sound whenever I pressed something on the gamepad, mouse, or certain keyboard letters like A or S, but nothing else. Sometimes it would then randomly open hundreds of links to a Twitter blog via a command prompt which would have to be closed manually.
First time I have ever seen something like this.
Unfortunately appears to be far too buggy and cannot recommend at this time.

The initial version of the game was pretty poor. Wasn't a great release, but the updates are coming thick and fast and the game is starting to improve. It's really made for groups of 10+ people if you want to do anything significant, so you need some social skills unlike a lot of other MMO / Sandbox game.
Be aware that it is a very chilled out and relaxing game, there will be periods of hours with not much happening other than sailing, so anyone who partakes in pot smoking will probably love it.
The new player experience needs to be improved considerably. The learning curve is extremely high and savage.
I don't think it is worth the money yet for most people, but in a few months I think it will be, given the fast rate of improvement the game has shown so far.

Over 1800 hours played says this game is acceptable :)

quite literally one of the worst 30 minutes I have spent playing a game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful piece of crap and no wonder it is F2P

played this until star wars: the old republic came out. if you want a game, get that instead

And this is why you should play the game.
