TL;DR: This game is RUINED by Rockstar and their attempt to sell online currency at any costs, even if it ruins the game. And cheaters. Cheaters everywhere.

Long version: The offline game is all but dead, haven't received any new content for YEARS. Rockstar really did ruined this game. Every update is more over-the-top, jumping the shark higher and higher, just trying to force you to buy online currency to just stay alive in an online lobby. And even having every new powerful weapon/car/bunker/plane/tank/etc they launch, you'll still be fighting to find an online lobby that hasn't been ruined by cheaters. Because yes, Rockstar DON'T CARE about the game. They say they ban cheaters, but that's simply not true.

The last update was launched THREE days ago at the time of this writting, and there was absolutely ZERO attempts to stop the cheaters. I'm writting this review after spending a full hour trying to launch and connect to a lobby to play a little, only to find myself locked in cages inside my garages, instantaneously combusting while walkings the streets, or simply being exploded by a flying bus.

I never got around of playing this game when it launched, and since I won it for free, I though now would be a good time.

Boy, was I wrong...

Quite possible the WORST voice recon somebody EVERY tried to implement in a game. Seriously, At first I though "huh, nice gimmik". Then, it stopped recognizing all words. Progress on the game halted and I didn't even finish the first "tutorial" levels. Turning voice recon off? Yeah, about that... After you start a save WITH voice recon activated (which the game does automatically if it detects your microphone), disabling it in the menus simply blocks any attempt to speak, but the game still waits for your voice commands.

I don't really know (or care) if there's some new system incompatibility, but there's also a noticeable lag in the commands, and the mouse movement is waaaaay too sensitive in the default levels. Maybe playing with a controller, and auto-aim, wouldn't be so frustrating? I wouldn't know, because if I wanted to play on a controller, I would get a console, not a gaming pc...

Is this game an alpha? I'm almost offended by the fact that the game feels unfinished, but they already have a DLC on sale. Simply make the game paid then!

You almost cannot feel the game without paying (meaning one or two free "tracks". All the real ones are paid for), there is no story-mode, the physic is not well done (no car damage, no aerodinamics, very limited tarmac/grass friction) and you cannot assign more than one button to the same action (meaning that I need to choose if I want paddle shifters or stick, but never both).

The game feels like a copy of ACR, and doesn't live up to his competition.

Otherwise, the menu system is very nice, once you get used to it.
