I'm put hundreds of hours into Factorio and Satisfactory, both of which I was inevitably comparing this too. I enjoyed this much more than Factorio as the worlds felt more inviting, the graphics are far better (I know the 2D/3D isn't a real comparison), and there are no environmental pressures here (e.g. bugs) which you have to fight off.

The blueprint system is exceptional. The designs for everything felt extremely smooth and exciting to look at. The progression was easy enough to get the hang of, but I do have some experience with these types of games. I was very surprised at some of the customization options which were great to play with.

My biggest gripe would be with the English translation. It's as though the Korean developers hired someone who was obviously fluent in English to read from a poorly translated script, which was laughable at times. In some ways it added to the charm, but in others I would've preferred to not have been so distracted by it.

Spoiler: My other grip would be with how the game ends. It's just a fancy sound effect and a dialogue box. I get that it's not a narrative-driven game, but it feels so anticlimactic and a wasted opportunity.

I WANT to buy this game, having played all through the recent free weekend. Unfortunately, even with a 1080ti and i7-7700k with 16GB of RAM I still get stuttering even on low settings with a 90FPS cap.

This game looks fantastic. It's ironic the first time I played it and ran at the recommended settings (High,in my case) it looked and played like butter. The overall mechanics, graphics, and voice quality is top-notch. This is a true sequel to the original and I commend New World for improving on it in every way. Sadly, I can't recommend it until they iron out some glaring optimization issues.

It's like a 3D-Jedi Drum Machine, and a true evolution for the rhythm-game genre. It's quite limited in the moment, in term of songs (although there's already a quickly growing modding community), enivornments, options, and colors (EVERYTHING is red or blue), but the potential is incredibly obvious and overwhelming.

Until we can track our entire body and posture in VR, this will be the go-to rhythm game. I've tried Soundboxing and Audioshield, but neither felt enough like a form of dancing on their own to really enable the feeling of expressing the music through your body.
