Something the card game market needed and players deserved for a long time. Feature complete, well balanced, beautiful artwork, interesting setting, 2v2 mode. If they find a sweet spot when it comes to F2P rewards, this will be hard to beat, but I am happy with how it is currently as I got a deck I can grind with only a a few days of playing in my free time - and perhaps some luck. Other card games left me stuck on basic decks for way longer.

Give it a try. An hour a day for a week should get you hooked.

It's a bad time if you expect a game when downloading this, but if you know it's a screensaver, it's decent. Probably Valve's greatest piece in 10 years or so. Certainly better than what came with Windows 95.

I downloaded this at first exclusively because it had a demo and I was bored. I always say I miss demos and wish they would somehow make a comeback. Little did I know the devs of this game spent the last few years reading my mind and made this game just for people like me.

Book of Demons is a love letter to Diablo. Not the XXI century arcade superhero diablo, I mean the 90s hairy-chested action-horror-RPG Diablo. Diablo that would call you fresh meat and try to #metoo you in a little room with chains and naked bodies. The gameplay is obviously different, but somehow the devs managed to capture the feel of the predecessor's action while creating something more conducive to the casual, short-session gameplay they intended for their own game.

Beautiful work.

If you're thinking og buying this because you liked Killing Floor, look elsewhere. This is not the game for you.

I've been a Magic player on and off since Vth edition. I've also played Jyhad, some Netrunner, Infinity Wars, Hearthstone etc. I was looking for an online TCG that would satisfy me for a long while and I feel this could be it.

Spellweaver is not shallow when it comes to the gameplay itself. It feels a lot like Magic, but slightly different. It adds some depth here and there, while removing some of the aspects that make Magic seem complicated to beginners (such as the stack). The result is satisfying, it doesn't feel like the game or your deck plays itself like in some other TCGs, it never feels like RNG is determining the outcome of the game and although it's still early it feels like a good competitive scene could be built on this game.

The factions are interesting, with clear strengths and weaknesses as well as themes. The software itself is good and I haven't encoutered any major bugs. The occasional server problem still happens, but they usually don't last long and you can simply continue the match if it was interrupted. UI is clear and easy to use, although I'm not a fan of the separation of the Decks and Collection tab. Deckbuilder is not too bad either, but MODO's still my favorite. Animations are present, but short and unintrusive.

If you don't like the excessive simplicity of Hearthstone and aren't happy with the limitations and problems of Magic Duels, give this a try. It's not a shoddy, poorly thought out card game like most online TCGs and it's not just a bland clone like HEX.

PS: you can't chat with your opponent, only with people on your friends list. Silly limitation and I find it hard to justify it, but I guess that's the trend now - playing online but without human interaction. Shame.
