This is the most visually detailed game I have ever seen. It's genuinely incredibly beautiful: the character designs are interesting, all the animations are alive, it all just looks very pretty. Gameplay-wise - it's not repetitive, but it's not great either, a solid 3/5.

My main problem is with the dialogues, as well as the story.

Now, I know this game is not natively in english. It might be the rough translation, poor choice of words, but I don't really feel like that's the issue. Most of the time the dialogues feel incredibly dry, and don't give much character. The animations do a far greater job at that.

Then there's the story. If you expect it to explain the majority of the details - you could not be more wrong. A lot of things are left unexplained, and it really makes me mad. I am the type of guy to read the lore notes in games, but there are none. All you're getting is the most basic explanation of what's happening. Also, sometimes things just happen, without you realizing what exactly is going on - don't get me wrong, it can be done really well (for example, Katana Zero), but this is, unfortunately, not the case. Characters like to speak in riddles, but the riddles don't make sense. They're just there to make it sound more important. Some reactions, also, may not be very believable.

One last thing that put me off a little bit - the enemy designs.
Sometimes they don't feel like they really fit in some areas. But I am willing to overlook that - it's all incredibly animated.

Give this a try for the animations and the soundtrack alone.

I just WANT to love this game, and some part of me already does, but I just can't fully embrace it. How I wish it was done a little different.
