First off: I was really, really looking forward to playing this game, and the first hour or so seemed interesting and pretty much what I was hoping for. However...

Unstable framerate even on low settings, with the possible exception of downscaling to a pixelated mess, which I'm just not going to do. Stable 60 FPS is out of the question, and even 30 FPS was questionable. I thought I fixed the stuttering and FPS drops by switching to DX11 and lowering some of the settings, but as soon as there was another alternate reality scene, the framerate became unstable again.

Having said this, it does look like Bloober is basing all the hardware requirements on a 30 FPS average. Fair enough, and I guess I should have looked at their requirement chart a little closer before buying the game, but still, this being a PC game in 2021, I have to ask: why? I mean, is there really nothing at all to be done to optimize the game to run at a stable 60 FPS? Nothing at all?

I will change this review to reflect the content of the game if the performance issues are fixed, but currently I don't know if I'll continue playing, so that's it for now.
