The last update is a perfect example of a disconnect between a publisher and their development team. Their original goal (creating a unified codebase for PC/ console) is a wonderful thing to achieve, but not at the cost of the games stability. The developers likely knew what they were doing was going to break major systems in the game, and were likely told that there was not time to fix it. Its sad, as there really is no way for the players to 'roll back' to the pre-update version of the game.

Personally, I think the framerate-based physics is hilarious, and have thoroughly enjoyed messing around with how broken it is. I really hope that when they eventually separate the games event loop, physics, and framerate that they leave in an option to 're-break' it for an extra challenge.

Avoid Halo 4, the other games are great though. Overall, a great deal for the price, one of the best franchises out there.
