Early Access Review
It's a fun little almost-roguelike with a really neat art direction and smooth feeling gameplay, and that's all you really need to know. As far as I've played, the story isn't anything groundbreaking and is moreso just there to act as a setting so you don't feel completely lost. The gameplay is why you're here, and honestly, it's great.

Early Access Review
It's a fun time. I am a little dumb so I have some issues with "direction", like I don't know where I'm supposed to go, but once you sort of figure things out and make your own path, it gets really fun. Just sucks that it's impossible to google ANYTHING for this game because you're gonna end up on a watch list.

While the DLC itself isn't exactly horrible, most of the content that arrived with it was free, with a system called the Portal. Disregarding anything around that, I feel like this DLC simply isn't worth the $40. On sale, it's a different story, but the DLC is pretty one-and-done. The gameplay is a nice departure from the standard one-shot of years past, but it lacks substance beyond the story with only a few open-world encounters and a single, 6/10 activity with little to no reward to hold you over. I'd recommend buying this if you're interested in Destiny, but PLEASE wait until it's on sale. $40 is a little much.

I mean, it's alright. The two main pieces, being the Stasis subclass and the campaign, have been removed from this pack and made free as part of the base game. While a good move that I wish they did to the entire DLC, it does mean that the DLC that remains isn't quite worth your money. The raid is nothing to write home about, and even if the exotics aren't horrible, most of them aren't really in the meta, ever. If you're a new Destiny player looking to buy DLC to get into that content, this definitely is not the place to start, at least not at full price.

It's alright, but not really worth the $20. The raid is well-loved by its dedicated community, but for me, it's bland and has pretty boring mechanics. The exotics from this year are pretty good, though, including main-stays like Xenophage and Divinity. However, I don't know if the content included is worth $20, especially now that the "campaign" has been made free. If you're interested, pick it up on sale, but if you're looking at it for full price, definitely a no-go.

It really isn't worth the price anymore. While at launch this was such a game-changer that it is still looked back on fondly almost a decade later, this has since been gutted and the content included is not worth the $20. Don't get me wrong, it's all still great; the raid is still exceptional, the exotics are definitely worth getting, and everything else is still good, but it's not worth $20. If you're interested, wait until it comes on sale.

There's a reason this is up there with Forsaken and The Taken King as one of the greatest expansions in the games' history. The story was truly incredible, definitely one of the first actually well-made stories in the games history. The gameplay is a little meh at times as a result of a more story-oriented experience, but it's still a significant improvement over years past. The post-campaign experience isn't as action-packed as you'd hope, but the raid more than makes up for that. Definitely recommend this even as a stand-alone experience and your only forray into Destiny.

It took me a while to understand Warframe. The new player experience isn't great, and I'm still figuring out what much of the game has to offer. However, having reached and completed all story content before The Old Peace launches, plus a lot of side content, I feel I can say I've experienced at least a decent chunk of the game. That itself should be a pretty good sign; there's so much content in the game that's been added over the years to where I don't know if I've experienced even remotely close to all of it. There's so many unique characters with their own unique abilities, a bunch of weapons that all feel really nice to use, and so on. The story does get really confusing, but I understand just enough of it to get me through the game. Warframe is a power fantasy, first and foremost, and I think it excels at that wonderfully.

First, I wanted to note that this isn't based on any technical issues that might've arisen. I had a pretty flawless experience with the campaign in terms of bugs, so they didn't ruin my experience, but I'd understand why it would for others. With that being said, this is a pretty good expansion if you look at it as what it's trying to be instead of judging it based off of the past. It's not trying to be the annual, once-a-year expansion. It's only trying to be something like Rise of Iron or Warmind, where it's a few missions, an activity, a couple of new areas, and what have you. Based on that, I think they did a really good job. The story is really intriguing, with a lot of Star Wars elements mixed in that still make perfect sense in the rules of Destiny's lore. I also never felt like the Lawless Frontier activity ever got old; there's tons of different combinations of locations, enemies, objectives, and so on, to where no run ever feels the same. The weapons also feel really fun and good to use, even if some of them aren't exactly meta-defining. Overall, first impressions are pretty solid---it's just a matter of how solid they nail the final lap with the dungeon to see whether or not this is worth your money.

This is everything a sequel should be, and it's only going to get better. The game does have some rare issues and a few things that I don't doubt will be fixed shortly, so keep that in mind, but for the most part, it runs very well on medium-high settings on recent hardware. Outside of the technical, the gameplay itself is incredible. It's what JWE2 should have been; a complete improvement in every area and then some. The animals feel more alive thanks to their much more realistic life cycles, the parks you can build feel so much more immersive and realistic with the modular building and incredibly wide array of terrain and building tools, and so on. To top it all off, the game's campaign is a significant step up from both JWE1 and JWE2, using the best ideas from both and then extending it further into the territory of "actually well made sim-game campaign." If you like simulation games or the Jurassic franchise, or pretty much dinosaurs at all, this is the best entry in the trilogy and I cannot recommend it enough.
