even after the stuttering issue was fixed theres still tons of optimization issues plaguing the game badly hurting performance let alone the fact that the FSR they so greedily let amd put in alone with no other decent option is down right TERRIBLE and their implementation of ray tracing here is disgusting the shadows look like they barely manage to exist and have this awful screen door like effect or fuzziness the reflections look worst than SSRs half the time and i can only think we have amd to blame for this lazy version of ray tracing because their cards suck at it sorry amd fans they really messed up this game along with the performance issues

ive now put in about 100 hours and yes im using a 3070 and can run the game just fine but theres still alot of bugs and features and just straight up fleshing out that needs to happen the bugs havent been horrible so i think my copy is lucky as ive only had 4 crashes and that was from messing around with overlays and recordings or changing settings most of the bugs are just small QOL things ...which lets me realize the bugs arent the worst part or the performance issues its just the basic ways the game works such as being cheap and spawning cops behind you having tons of cars in the distance only obviously fade away into an empty street with maybe 5 cars at best the obvious cut content at the start of the game reduced to a cut scene with you and jackie that sets up characters you should know but just shows you a brief clip of them..the removed vehicle customization house purchasing wall climbing etc. heck even on very hard my build one shots most enemies showing the game needs to be harder and not just give enemies more health... but even after all that ide still highly recommend this game BUT maybe wait till 2021/2 so the major issues can be worked out the story and characters are really good the world is interesting the quests are super cool and you can feel the emotion especially with my play through and you realize just how much the choices you've made have affected your play through this game isnt what it should be and will be yet

but this is definitely one you need to experience yourself..and later in life you will be like "damn i wish i could go back and play that for a first time again"

This game is a great new leap for the BTD series! the visual upgrades are nice and offer an enhanced feel while the added 3rd upgrade path and 5th tier monkeys take the game-play you used to know and adds a HUGE but good and awesome spin on the way you may play your games because some of the typical upgrades you would always grab might be on the third path while another you need is on the first AND second so you have to choose if you'd want one or the other and which would help you more. on the other hand the 5th tier monkeys are SUPER interesting and all really cool even if some are better than others. i was a little sad to see special agents removed but they were luckily replaced by something just as cool or maybe even better depending on your point of view and that is monkey knowledge. Monkey Knowledge is a deep and helpful set of upgrades you earn starting at level 30 some improve your towers range etc some improve powers and some even ad some secret things (*cough* Dark vengeful true son god) this game overall is just a huge breath of fresh air and improvement to the game.
