So as some one who has enjoyed previous Shantae titles, seven sirens certainly will scratch that super metroid itch... but it's not perfect.

Loading times are painfully long - not just me, other users have experienced it.
Not a challenging game - abilities and items make sure that you basically have somewhat of an infinite life pool unless your really trying to ignore your life.
Bosses, enemies, and towns are repetitive and feel uninspired- this actually feels like the strongest con- besides some of the new character art- everything feels very copy-paste, even down to the mini boss fights with risky boots which are the most uninspired boss fights I've seen from a Shantae game.

Listen, if you've played the other Shantae games, it's very unlikely you're NOT going to play this one. Shantae is a small series, and for what it's worth, 30 bucks for 7-10 hours of gameplay, it's not a rip off.

The humor is kinda there, Shantae is there, and there is decent level design. I think some of the new mechanics are really fun, but something tells me someone threw in the towel a little early.

This game is too good

It's not a game for everyone, but it's a nice, get in and get going game.
Would love a more in-depth tutorial of the games mechanics.
