This game delivers exactly what one could hope for from the trailer. You are a cat, a kitty cat even, and you are wandering a beautiful world of interest. You can put a bag on your head and run around. You can trip a man as he walks the streets by weaving into his legs. You can rub up on people and demand attention. And yes, there is a button to meow.

Beyond that, which is more than enough for me to be entirely fair, there is a massive world that feels both dead in the best way and alive with wonder as you wander through it. The little face hugging bacteria non-withstanding. There are scares, yes this is true. And it had my heart pounding multiple times only in the short amount of time I've played it so far. But it's ultimately not so hard you'll want to throw your keyboard through your screen, and it's not so easy that I'd had the game over to a small child. There is a fun balance between running for your little furry life, being a bother to everyone around you, and lore to slowly uncover with your own two little paws.

Take a chance, because this game was everything I could have hoped for and much much more, and it's just genuinely fun.

This game is fun.

What do I mean by that?

Let's start from the top. The energy that it starts with is wonderful, it throws you directly into the action from the get go, makes your choices feel like they matter (regardless of the actuality of such) and it immediately immerses you in what is going on. I find this right up there with Fallout New Vegas, personally. It hits many of the same sort of plot points, factions, reputation based on those said factions, figuring out what kind of character your Captain Hawthorn really is. This is a lot of fun, there is a lot to find and see and anyone who has a hoarding issue in games is going to find that that particular addiction is well fed.

It took me about 34 solid hours of playing it non-stop except for short breaks to finish the entire game, plus the DLC that is currently available at this time.

I can say that the game did it's job, because I often stayed up until the sun was rising without realizing that I had spent that much time on the game, and whenever I was not playing it, I was thinking 'Hmm, I should play that when I get off work, get home, ect"

Some may find that the way you can affect the world is limited, but honestly for what it's worth I felt like my choices had more of an effect on my gameplay than not. I was always searching for whatever Compromise I could strike, and the way you can customize your play style through the skill tree is refreshing. While I find the Perks rather lacking, and wish there had been more to the perks, ultimately you can focus on the actual skill points instead and get the same feeling of having perks that would be specific to skill checks.

The writing was delightful, funny, surprising at times until you've played it for a bit and gotten a feel for what the setting is like. There are times right at the beginning of the game where the Capitalism Shtick that it has going feels more than just ham-fisted, but as the game goes on it feels less and less clumsy, and more and more horrifying. Where it starts you in a feeling of disbelief, it slowly morphs throughout the game to really highlight a terrifying version of today's world.

I love this game. I honestly felt like every moment was well spent, and I do think there is a level of re-playability that I look forward to experiencing now that I've beaten it fully on storymode. I possible may even try my hand at speedrunning it, but I'm not sure.

For glitches, through a casual playthrough the only real hinderance I found was occasionally my character would glitch if I both crouched and jumped on top of an uneven surface, it would force me to hop in place rapidly, but you can just move away and it doesn't clip you or otherwise send you flying.

All in all a lovely enjoyable game that I'm hoping to (but not holding my breath on) see more DLC in the future.

This game is great at pulling you in a thousand directions all at once and still manage not to feel overwhelming. There is Always something to do on any of the days of the ingame week, and there is always something new to discover to work at. Some of it can feel a bit like a time waster, but honestly I kind of enjoy the fact that it makes me wait around at times to get ♥♥♥♥ done because it means I've driven to look and see what else I can do while I wait for the specific NPCs to show up on their designated days. This game is a lot of fun, and very addicting, and once you get rolling it really does pick up momentum like nothing. A wonderful way to spend my time, lots of fun, beautiful pixel art, and funny writing. What more could you want??

This game is fun, well written, and has an engaging cast of characters. Even at times that feel cliched it is just plain fun to play. I also love that I'm just a Garbage Magic User no matter what and that doesn't mean I'm bad at it either.

This game was honestly very engaging I ended up starting it and finishing all of the good routes once through which took me about eleven hours straight to do with quicksaving and redoing until I got the proper route.

The stories are engaging and each is seperate so none of them could be counted as a 'true' ending or 'canon' ending which is nice because each of the routes are legitimete and stand well on their own.

The artwork is lovely if not standard for an otome/visual novel. It's very easy to hate the player character at first, but the story itself leads you to understand her on a deeper level and was very well done. Would recommend.
