Divinity review based on co-op

Warning! Wall of text!

A friend of mine and me started looking for a good co-op game to play together when we stumbled upon this game. I had my doubts of the game as I'm not much of a guy for these classical type of rpg games, but boy did I get amazed how entertaining this game is especially if you play it with a friend.
You start the game by creating two heroes (if you play solo) and you can customize their looks, stats and what kind of spells they have. There is enough of variety on the spells so you mix things up to make some different paths for your hero. For example my buddy made a knight that is more of mage than a knight.

In the begining of the game, you get guidance how to play the game which is necessary if you are new to these kind of games. There is little of fighting in the beginning and more of exploring the world and getting to know the world so you can live up to it. The humour in the game is good and the dialogues you get between the two heroes is a lot more fun when playing with a friend. You just might find yourself beating the life out of a innocent dog if you start arguing with your friend about digging up graves.
The turn-based battles are somewhat challenging in the classic mode but you get more difficulty to it if you take the tactician mode. Once you get out of the first town (which took awhile because we had to explore every corner... Born explorers that we are) you get a lot of more battles which is great because the battle system is superb and there is a lot of different things to consider when you are fighting. The environment, enemies, resistances, type of damage etc. You can actually make things a lot of worse if you dont pay attention if there is water on the ground for example.
Exploring is a big part of the game as you get most of the quests by speaking to someone or something. And there is a lot to explore as the world is large and there is a lot of books laying around and stuff. Thankfully there is a teleport system in the game so you don't have walk from area to area, but be aware that there is still a lot of running to places.
My advice is that when you start the game make sure you have the ability to speak to animals. Yes you read it right, you can speak to all kinds of animals in this game such as hens, pigs and a lot more.
I don't know how long the game is as I haven't played it through yet but with 30hrs of total playtime I would dare to say that it is worth of your money. You may play the game a bit faster if you play it solo but the game is much better with the kind of friend that likes rpgs too.

So as the summary for this review I would like to say that you definitely want to play this game if you are atleast somewhat interested of rpg games. Talk to a friend of yours and try to talk him/her to get the game also and enjoy your time in the world of Divinity: Original Sin! And I hope you don't have to kill as much of innocent people in the game as I have had. That savage knight..

5/5 this game is a blast! WOO!
