The combat is insanely boring and subpar the constant switching between 4-5 "action bars" with no ability to remap is a major pain in the ass that could've been easily circumvented had they not gone with a console first approach.

As for story telling, the story itself is acceptable but how you're ran through it is absolutely mind mindbogglingly boring the entire game they have you play as this unknowing whimpering dog. You can make the most rash of decisions but oopsie woopsie i didn't mean to i feel so bad.

Just don't allow players to go down a "dark wizard" path in that case.

Same can be said for the animal collecting whilst it's by far one of the most fun aspects of the game half the time the game is well aware that you have xyz animal in your collection yet when there's a story quest abt it you go all like "WOWZERS PLS TELL ME MORE RANDOM NPC THIS IS INSANE I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS!!!".

It's the aspects of an open world that are executed piss poorly, combined with the sub par combat just save yourself some money and either torrent or just dont play the game.

Great improvements in fighting and stealth mechanics over previous Assassin's Creed titles

- Insane graphics and historical accuracy (other than the standard mix of conspiracy theories that make up the Assassin's Creed series)

- Vast amounts of lore linking to Greek mythology and many Hellenistic elements present throughout the game (including but not limited to; dialogues, map design, character designs, character abilities, and quests/missions.)

- A very well designed map overall making even aimless free roam a lot more enjoyable than it should have any right to be.

This game is nothing short of amazing.

I know i barely have hours in this game so far.

But the dialogs between the 2 main characters Hugo and Amicia are so disgustinly terrible it's insane.

Feels like it's been scripted by a 12 year old from the sovjet union.

Gameplay wise it's extremely linear (as to be expected). Graphics are really nice.

The game is extremly fun and beautiful

However the controls are quite wonky and the storyline is a tad short. Besides these short comings its totally worth it.

The scenery is beautiful and you totally get absorbed into the story.

This isn't even a game. Nothing works you can't do anything.
