A very hard and confusing game, I never really understood it so I gave up after a while. Highly unforgiving. If you die, just start the whole game from the start!

Yeah, and that's fair enough. The game's an aquired taste and definitely isn't for everyone; I just wanted to clarify how the save system works for future readers.

This game uses a checkpoint system for saving. The first one you encounter is in the third room of the ruins. To be fair, if you didn't make it that far before quitting, this isn't likely to be a game you'll enjoy.
