I have to run it at 1600x900 at minimum settings, so it can look worse than the 3DS games at points. Also, there is way too much emphasis on story and I'm pretty sick of listening to npc's talk and watching cutscenes.

But man, I love my gunlance so much. The game has its issues but the Monster Hunter formula is so good. I prefer the way the 3DS games and MH:Rise play, but it's always fun getting into a new game in this series.

Such an amazing game. It's great fun to just play these arcade games and earn tickets without feeling the guilt of real-world money being sucked away like it would be at a real arcade.

But I really recommend the survival mode, as it's fun to try sustaining your addiction with the in-game money you earn by doing chores and trading in your prizes.

So much content too, I'm so impressed to see how far the game has come since I last played it. I miss my old local arcade that went out of business, so I'm glad I can still experience the thrill that it always gave me.

One suggestion, I know this game focuses more on redemption games, but a light-gun game could be interesting! Either way, I'll be playing this game a lot, and I'm excited to see everything it has to offer, and what you're able to do with it in the future!

Great art pack for the best 2d animation software around!

I've been using this art pack for the shmup I've been making for the past few years. They all look really professional and clean, and they're easy to edit/tweak to fit my game's needs and to add extra flair/details to the existing animations. I'm not an artist, so without this pack my game would be looking like an ugly MS Paint-style game, but with this, I feel that it looks so much more professional.

Thank you so much for these art packs and this software! I've been using them for a long time now, so I'm excited for Spriter 2!

It's a little different from Payday 2, but I think it's nice that they tried new things. It's getting updated regularly to get more content, and have a lot of its launch issues fixed. I think my only complaint now is the confusing Main Menu UI, buying/equipping/customizing new guns is a bit clunky.

Anyway, I think it's a good game and I'm excited to keep up with it as it evolves!

The game is great, one of the best co-op games on Steam these days. It has a healthy, large community with plenty of people to play with at all hours of the day. I really like how (similarly to Helldivers 1) all players' mission completion contributes to a server-wide galactic war.

All the negative reviews are people complaining that their favorite weapon got nerfed, or about the Playstation account stuff (which they backpedaled on immediately, and is not an issue).

The devs have done an incredible job of listening to feedback and rolling out updates to improve the game. Not only are bugs being fixed, maps are getting entire redesigns to improve the infantry experience, poor character models are being re-made to look better, performance is being drastically improved, and the devs are actively listening and pushing out updates very frequently. Every complaint I've had with the game has been fixed or improved, and there's still more to come. 99% of the negative reviews seem to be people jumping on the bandwagon that haven't played since launch.

(Also hot take, but I enjoyed the game even back toward launch and couldn't understand the hate. I think a lot of the complaining was overblown.)

The game is fun enough, albeit a bit expensive. But it is way too buggy; I'd go so far as to say unfinished.

My friend and I played the whole game together in 2-player online co-op, and we ran into issues constantly. Most common was quest objectives not updating properly, like the door to proceed not opening, or certain interactable prompts not showing up. There were also issues with quest dialogue getting stuck or playing audio from 2 different dialogues at once. Not to mention, we had to fight the final boss 3 different times, since at the end our games would both crash before it could trigger the cutscene afterward.

Most of these bugs were solved by just restarting our games or computers, but why should we have to do that so frequently? Once or twice in a single playthrough I can understand, but we must've restarted around 30 times total while getting to the end (and we didn't do any sidequests, only focused on the main story). And these issues have persisted even after updating with the patches that were supposed to add fixes.

Maybe these issues aren't a problem in single-player, but I wouldn't bother playing it solo anyway; it's a pretty standard open-world game with crafting and generic sidequests. The parkour isn't as fun as it is in other games like Mirror's Edge, and the story was pretty forgettable for me. It's fun to play with friends in theory, but since it breaks so frequently it's not worth playing like that either.

The game is difficult for killers, as the balance is generally survivor-sided (especially the hospital map) and the hit detection is hard to get used to. There's also a really annoying crackling noise that plays for the entirety of the game after the Survivors complete their first ritual. However, it's incredibly fun and reminds me a lot of Friday the 13th. If you can withstand just a little bit of Early Access jank (which the devs are being super involved in polishing), I would highly recommend this game.
