Absolum is the current greatest Beat-em-up bar none.

If you played and loved Streets of Rage 4 you will absolutely obsess over Absolum.

Take all the best parts of current beat-em-up trends and mix in a bit of rogue-lite mechanics, just enough to make it re-playable and not enough to make it tired and annoying. Add in some random events like Hades has and turn em into some light questing just to give you incentive to change up your path towards the final boss. You come out the other end with a challenging and satisfying game. Play it with a friend to make it even MORE fun.

Art is beautiful, narrative will pull you right in and the music is insane. Keep an ear out for that Mick Gordon track when you get to the Underking.

This was an easy pick up and I'm still enjoying it today. I can't recommend this any harder!

Paperhead Ep.0 feels like a SOLID demo for the full Paperhead deal to come. A VERY solid demo.

The music and sound design is great. Gameplay is fast, fluid and fun! Art design is unique, well executed and effective, VERY moody, funny and horrifying all in one.

The story is incredibly silly but intriguing enough that I'm interested to find out more. Everything is also the level of edgey I like.

Pick this up, it's free, why the hell not? Really looking forward to the release of the full game!

Loved this demo!

Isle of Reveries in look and in play is VERY much a lovingly crafted Link's Awakening clone. But it doesn't just stop there in my opinion.

The puzzles have their own twist and feel fresh and interesting. The Boss fight in the demo is pretty interesting too, familiar enough to a GB Zelda fan but something new to make it interesting enough to want more. The story as well seems like something with real stakes and intrigue and I'm really interested to see where that goes.

In short, if you like Game Boy Zelda games, you'll like this and it does enough of its own thing at the same time. Highly recommend checking out the demo. I'll be picking up the whole thing when it's out.

s.p.l.i.t is an incredibly affordable and an incredibly interesting game which you should for sure pick up.

I would describe s.p.l.i.t as a mix of an awesome evolution of the interactive fiction genre and an amazingly immersive puzzle game. s.p.l.i.t's narrative is tragic and dystopian but also incredibly exciting and engrossing.

Highly recommend this game!

Fantastic low low scope "horror" game. Very cool and simple premise executed very well.

It's really satisfying to play as you slowly start to notice and remember how the liminal-space-esque train station tunnel around you isn't quite right.

Would highly recommend especially for the price, you'll have a good time. It's very moody and unsettling but nothing horribly jump scary happens. Pluck up the courage and give it a go.

Amazingly atmospheric short horror game. It's very immersive and dripping with handmade charm, from the little clay artifact to the tactile gameplay. Highly recommend you pick it up and spend an evening in the dark with it. There's also a 'Making of' DLC you can pick up if you wanna kick the creator a little bit of cash.

Really cool short horror game that nails the early 2000s era horror style as you remember it but not necessarily as it really was, which in my opinion is always the best way to do it. There's also lots of options to dial it all back if you want a higher frame rate or less post processing effects.

The aesthetic really is very charming and still conveys everything really well.

It has a well told story and solid gameplay that never feels really clunky or gets in the way too.

Highly recommend you grab this when it's back on the store!!

I fully recommend Tunic with a BIG "but".

If you're looking for a Zelda-like you might get that, but there's extra steps that made the game very interesting to me however this may bother someone looking for something more straight forward.

You might have scanned the suggested product tags, saw "puzzle" and you're wondering what that means, you're in for a bit more than you might have expected. In a very pleasant way.

Tunic is now one of my favourite complex puzzle games, which I was not expecting, at all and it was a VERY pleasant surprise.

I want to stay pretty vague because the switch in experience was really exciting to me. If you enjoy really deep puzzles, pick up Tunic trust me. If you're looking for a Top-Down Adventure game, you'll possibly get that too, but there's a lot more to Tunic if you're willing to scratch the surface.

Great short game with a damn near perfect narrative allegory. Really fun to play through for the extra achievements as well.

Game is free why not pick it up? I would have paid for it.

Ghost Runner is a fun, succinct and well made game.

Ghost Runner may be small in scope, but what it achieves is very tight and enjoyable. There's a lot of great action set pieces that build off of the core mechanics, great visuals, good music and really fun level designs.

The game's bread and butter is building puzzle like encounters and having you find the most efficient, fun and effective ways wall running, jumping and killing your way around the environment. Ghost Runner does this in such a way that you feel really cool doing so. Stringing together kills and acrobatics just makes you feel like the adept assassin cyborg the game tells you that you are, and it's not lying.

Ghost Runner has boss encounters too, that build off of the core mechanics really well and are fun, fast and spectacular cinematic experiences. It's really interesting how the boss encounters have been built almost entirely with the game's core mechanics but definitely feel like their own beasts.

The Visuals are great, lighting is great, animations are great, character designs are great, environments are great. The game looks great. The enemy designs are also clear, you can tell what you're looking at when you see it and know what tools you need to use to dispatch them.

The music is cool, it's what you'd expect from this type of Cyberpunk game but it's good to listen to and drives the action of the game well.

The narrative isn't particularly deep but it's intriguing enough to keep you moving forward and it does dabble a bit with Trans-Humanism and Corruption of Power to a degree. It's serviceable and has enough heart that I enjoyed myself.

Overall Ghost Runner does a really great job and doesn't overstay its welcome. It looks good, sounds good and is a fun experience that explicitly takes steps to make you feel like the super assassin the game tells you, you are. I highly recommend Ghost Runner!
