The gameplay itself is really good, but there are a few problems that I have with the game:

First, there is no way to view your cumulative match stats in the game (total medals earned, kills with weapons, etc.).

Second, there are no mode specific playlists for matchmaking. You have a random chance of getting into a slayer match or an objective match. If you want to play a specific objective only or focus on slayer matches you can't.

Lastly, the ridiculous monetization scheme for customization is insulting. I get that the multiplayer is free to play, but offering the same color for purchase over several different armor cores is absolutely disgusting. I cannot comprehend how anyone can rationalize paying 8-10 USD to buy a color for the Mark V armor, and then having to make a separate 8-10 USD purchase to use that same color on the Mark VII armor. There are many other problems I have with the purchase system, such as emblems and armor compatibility, but the color issue bothers me the most. Overall, it really sours the experience of what is otherwise a good game.

Helltaker is a nifty little puzzle game with a very memorable art style. For a game that is free, you really couldn't ask for much more. There are a lot of free games out there that are either cash grabs or lackluster, and I can say with confidence that Helltaker is neither of these things. Play it if you're up for about 1-2 hours of solving puzzles and being rewarded with demon girls.

The combat system is fun, and there are a variety of weapons to unlock.

The story is engrossing as well, and I highly recommend seeing it through to the end.

First of all, I absolutely love the parkour elements. It is a great fit with the zombie theme, especially when running away from something dangerous. The weapon and zombie mechanics are also on point. The game just does a good job of creating an immersive apocalyptic atmosphere. Some may not like the few quick-time events that are in the game, but I can look past those just because of the greatness present everywhere else.

This game is short and quick, with an interesting art style. The gameplay starts off easy to introduce people to the game, but around the middle of level 2, it becomes more difficult. I enjoyed the challenge of the later levels, and the game is definitely worth the $6
