Online (solo) matches are not enjoyable at all.

There's way too many defensive tools, which makes combos very unnecessary and boring. It's only a battle of who will be at the back of his opponent for a few rush chains to eventually get Super countered or Z-countered. Same thing on repeat. It just doesn't feel good to play and is repetitive as hell.
I mean, you can keep Z-countering (vanish?) each other like 20 times until someone runs out of Ki. Do you really think that's fun? I don't.

Balance is horrible too. You only see the same 5 characters spamming their Afterimage Strike or unblockable Ults. It's ridiculous. There is absolutely no variety, neither in combos nor in characters played. The meta hits hard.

Also half the time you are only starring at the same cut scenes over and over again. Before you can have a 60sec battle, you need to watch that 30sec cut scene, every damn time, even if you enter the training mode during matchmaking queue. I don't get it.
If this is not enough, you can keep spamming Perception from Guard to look at this sweet Sonic Sway animation.

Want to get the highest rank? No Problem, just leave when you are about to lose and save your points. This has already been a thing back in the Raging Blast series. Why would you fix it in 2024?

Connection quality has huge impact on your timings (not every match and not always equally bad), so that your inputs don't register correctly. I do only play connection quality 4+, how is this still a thing?

Cannot recommend the game for competitive players. Maybe okay for casuals, but not worth the full price for the content you get.

Okay as aim trainer but the sensitivity finder is trash.
