way less hackers on cobalt nowadays from what i've noticed, haven't seen a single flying MAX since i started playing again

pick it up if you like getting your ass handed to you at every turn, 200+ hours and can barely hit 1 KDR and 3-4 KPM on a good day

Besides the meme factor, this is actually a really fun game. It's pretty short however. You can usually pick it up for really cheap, so it's definitely worth playing at least once.

It's honestly not great. Yes, it has everything you expect from a fromsoft title, that being good bosses, combat, world design and more. That being said, it's not well optimised at all, it lacks modern features like high refresh rate and ultrawide support, the multiplayer integration and stability sucks and the UI design isn't what you'd expect from a 2022 title.

While I've found these to be acceptable with the Dark Souls series, they're much older now. I'd hoped FS would've fixed these issues by now, but alas, they have not. Had this game for well over a year now, done a 100% run and up to NG+7, and I've come to realise that while the game has some truly fantastic moments, locations and bosses, those barely make up 20% of the actual game. The rest is just recycled bosses/dungeons and empty space, with maybe a sprinkle of mobs and crafting materials.

Overall, can't recommend it for full price. Maybe if it gets a 50% off, but even then, it's far from perfect so if you're even slightly unsure or new to soulslikes, it'd be better to pick up Dark Souls 3.

Not worth playing anymore. Too much of the old content was removed and some fan favourite weapons are now useless due to an arbitrary cap being placed on their power level. A fantastic game if you want to observe a once-successful game slowly kill itself.

story mode is excellent!

online is fun, just don't spend any money on it. r* still chooses to go for a massively outdated p2p online gameplay setup which allows skript kiddies to do essentially whatever they want without any risk of getting banned

r* also likes to steadily increase the price of new in-game items while also making sure that those new in-game items are going to outperform the old ones in any scenario

It's a great game. Maybe a bit too good.
