In a brief period of time, A Game About gets you acquainted (or reacquainted) with a host of antagonizing emotions. It captures the sort of anxiety and depression that a lot of us face, but struggle to nail down.

But for as dreary as that sounds, A Game About often feels like a warm hug because of how genuinely funny and relatable it is. It gestures at its own bleak scenario and finds a lot of love inside it. And that giraffe is a joy.
