One of the dumbest dungeon systems I've ever seen. Need an item to enter a dungeon sure, fine. Make it fairly common and easy to make. Not a slog of grinding to craft a material to craft a material to craft a material to craft yet something else to then have to upgrade it and so on and so forth just to enter dungeons. Piss poor planning and catering to the smallest of their player base makes this something to run away from. This game wouldn't even count as a ok free to play game let alone something you should spend your money on.

Sadly while the game was good when it was release due to piss poor decision making on Rockstar's part you can only play the game offline if you don't pay for it. Not that I don't like their games, but their boneheaded launcher has made any rockstar game not something that I would or could recommend.

First lets just put this out there, this game lacks a lot of depth you might expect for this type of game. It also makes itself perfectly clear in that it was developed for a tablet, be that an ipad or a windows tablet it matters little. The only reason this is on steam is because there are windows tablets out there. Making this painfully obvious is the lack of any graphics settings at all other than windowed or windowed full screen. Clearly this game is aiming at the lowest common denominator and calling that good enough. Don't get me wrong the graphics in this game look fine over all, but if they were really making this for a regular pc there would be at least a option to change the resolution and play at full screen.

What also stands out is the size of the maps. Mind you I have just played an 'epic' sized map and cannot comment on any smaller size maps, but if I were to put a label on the size of this 'epic' map I would maybe put it at medium in a range of tiny small medium large epic.

One interesting change from normal 4x games is that all upgrades, ships, wonders, or really anything you have to buy is all made instantly. No having to wait for several turns for tech to research or a new city to build. The only nod in that direction is the amount of turns it takes to gain control of a 'system'. Which even that can be bypassed biased upon the level of difficulty rating of the mission at the planet.

The fights were somewhat interesting in how they were done on the grid like final fantasy tactics. The only real issue I had here was the computer gives you a rating on what it 'thinks' is your chance of winning. This possibly is correct on your first few battles, but after that its totally useless. I had fights that it was telling me I had a 25% chance of winning where I totally steamrolled the enemy, or never even encountered the enemy because of random placement on the map and the mission type.

Overall the game matched up well with what I would think of as a mobile game, but there is a lot left lacking for a game that would be designed for the pc. Note however, that does not make this a bad game even on the pc, as there have been much worse ones made.

My biggest complaint with the game comes down to its cost. This is not a game worth 15 bucks, not even on mobile. I would expect a bit more work, and replay ability for that. Knock 10 bucks off however, and this game would probably be in a pretty good place cost wise for both pc and mobile.

I would say I'm fairly neutral on the game itself, its neither good nor bad, however it is outside of its price point should be by quite a bit for what it offers.
