Pay To Win.

Unbalanced, unrealistic operators destroy the gameplay.

Predatory progression with rigged matchmaking ensures newer players (or even just average players who don't play the game as if they have no life) are always at a disadvantage until they either pay up or grind an eternity.

No offline mode, no mod support, and no self hosted servers ensure that this game will die... and especially those who spend money will have absolutely nothing in the end. Games as a Service crap like this needs to be boycott at every turn.

Lost Light is a rigged P2W game ported from mobile.

Don't let the positive reviews deceive you, this game is bad!

New players are dumped in matches against sweaty toxic veterans who have the top tier gear (best armor, best ammo, best guns, etc.)... meanwhile the new players get bottom tier gear (guns that don't work all that well, ammo so weak that it takes an entire magazine to kill more armored enemies, etc..).

Oh, and the community is extremely toxic... much like Tarkov, which this game is a clone of.
Tarkov BTW, is also a bad game.

BTW, if you really want to play this garbage... the mobile version runs much better.

This game is garbage, mainly because of the P2W matchmaking system that pits new players against toxic, sweaty veteran players with fancy skins and boosters.

This is far better than that Call of Duty/Battlefield/Escape From Tarkov/Apex Legends/Valorant/Overwatch/"Games as a Service" type ♥♥♥♥... even though in it's current state it might not look like it.

This game does not include the typical modern gaming plagues:
- Unlock/Progression Systems
- Pay To Win Items
- Boosters/Consumables
- Abusive, Paid DLCs
- Lootbox Gambling "Surprise" Mechanics
- Battlepasses
- Engagement Optimized Matchmaking (EOMM)
- Lack Of Proper Mod Support
- Other Forms Of Pay To Win

No, instead this game provide a decent base to build the game of your dreams, should you be willing to use your brain and do so.

It's currently kinda barebones and performance can be subpar on older/weaker PCs... but it's by no means completely developed. Bluedrake42's team is still at work on making this game better, and plenty of things are planned.

All you gotta do as a community is tamper your expectations and be supportive. That means you should be playing this game more (not those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "GaaS" titles), providing useful feedback (not asking for unlocks, skins, battlepasses, or other ♥♥♥♥ to buy), possibly even make a mod of your own and sharing it on the Steam Workshop... instead of wasting money and time on other games by greedy a$$ companies who only seek to make a profit over everything else.

Move over Insurgency/Insurgency Sandstorm! The new "operator as ♥♥♥♥", gun nuts', tacticool shooter is in town!

TBH, this would be my instant winner for most of the 2024 "Game Of The Year" awards, if only I could nominate this game as such. While the devs might not release frequent updates, what does get release is of high quality and of somewhat decent optimization compared to most recent AAA games released this year!

No offline support.

The player base is small and the few players are playing like toxic sweats, who also have much better guns and perks unlocked than you.

The graphics are good though, but TBH this game is not even worth $2. Buying yourself and a friend a copy Orion Prelude would be money far better spent as that game can be played on and offline, and it's only $1 per copy.

It's Pay To Win.

They have "skins" that are not just skins, but they have buffs.

The game itself is predatory with the grinding/progression/unlock/blueprint system.

The matchmaking system is based on EOMM (Engagement Optimized Matchmaking) in other words it's fake "SBMM" made to be pay to win.

Oh BTW it crashes a lot too, but it's also early access.


Overall 2/10 The game has potential TBH but it just currently sucks.
