Right now, this is the only playable Fallout game straight out the gate, together with Fallout 76 (for the most part, it's still Bethesda we're talking about here). The story is on the shorter side, it's simple and it's quality sadly falls off as it goes on, sitting at about 25-30 hours of content for the main story line. However, what makes this game great in my opinion is it's side content and the DLCs. And there's a lot of content - it took me personally about 170 hours to 100% the game. There is a ton of characters, mostly written and voiced really well, with a bunch of them being especially entertaining and rememberable. When it comes to the story, I particularly didn't like how the story ends and the whole illusion of having a choice. What I mean by this is that none of your actions really matter until the very end - until the ultimate choice I was working with all of the factions behind each other's backs and none one of them could care less. This is why Fallout 4 kind of fails as an RPG, and it is the sole reason why I still believe New Vegas is superior.

What impressed me the most is the Commonwealth. Although looking pretty empty at first, it's the best wasteland in the franchise and one of the most immersive open world maps I've ever experienced, with incredibly detailed and densely packed cities, villages, caves and dungeons. This is where Fallout 4 absolutely shines compared to anything else in it's genre. Even though certain map assets, such as churches and subway stations, are reused several times, it does NOT make the experience any less engaging. By the time I got reminded that there is actually a main story to this game, I've explored almost all of the locations, and that's what this game is the best at, making you just wander for yourself and explore all around.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3296661264
And while we're there, not everything is just about exploring communities anymore - it's more about building one for yourself successfully. The addition of settlements is one of the best things Bethesda could go for. This sandbox is very addictive and it kept me building stuff for hours at a time. And considering how brutal the Survival mode is, it makes a lot of sense since you can not fast travel any longer.

Game mechanics in Fallout finally feel satisfying. Shooting, moving, looting - everything feels smoother. Shooting especially feels very satisfying. However, there is a big downside to this. Usually, your Fallout character was pretty ♥♥♥♥ at aiming as you start your game, and then he gets better and better as you level up your skills. Here, you're a weapons master from the very beginning, making certain things as V.A.T.S. very unnecessary sadly. I've played more than a thousand hours, almost all of it on Very Hard and Survival difficulty, and I clearly remember that I used V.A.T.S. only twice, not because I found it necessary, but just for the fun of it. I'm not saying this because I find V.A.T.S. to be a great mechanic, but because it certainly is one of those things that made the Fallout series as iconic as it is.

The new crafting/upgrading system is absolutely great. The variety in weapon upgrades is insane - make your weapons semi or automatic, change ammo types, change the barrels and stocks giving you more damage at the cost of recoil and likewise for shorter or longer ranges, add multiple types of sights and scopes, be it holo, night vision or recon, add silencers and change muzzles, different types of magazines, add bayonets and blades. This allows you to make a crazy number of the most wicked combinations out there - experimental MIRV Fat Mans that launch six mini nukes at a time, or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Piggy Bank and Nuka-Nuke Fat Mans.
And it doesn't stop at weapons only. There's an equally big amount of customization for your armor, power armor, robot companions and more, making this one of the most enjoyable aspects of Fallout 4.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3268625431
Now onto some of the things I didn't like - like every Bethesda game, the game crashes once every few hours and there's still a lot of bugs. They're rarely game breaking, but they always cost me significant amount of progress. The writing is very lackluster, and I absolutely hated the short captions for the dialogue options. I also didn't like how I had to clear certain locations multiple times as they appear in different quests. Some of the locations I had to visit and clear all over again even up to four times.

For the DLCs, my personal favorite, by a big margin, is the Far Harbor DLC. It introduces a much better story line where your choices actually matter with some great quests and a really solid number of new items, but most importantly - atmospherically, it is everything I ever wanted from Fallout. This leap into a new style of open world, mostly reminding me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, absolutely paid off. It feels mystical and unsettling, as your perspective is always very limited.

Nuka-World DLC is just about okay. I can't say I've particularly enjoyed the new open world or the story and the quests, but there is still a decent amount of new items that make it entertaining. The only thing that made me play it prolonged are those stunning Quantum X-01 and Nuka T-51 power armors.

I've liked that you get to build your own robots with the Automatron DLC, but the story overall is just not that entertaining.
As for the Workshop DLCs, if they even get to count as DLCs, they are nice to have, but also something that I could easily go without.

Even that it does not do that great as a "Fallout" game, it's a great game outside of what "Fallout" stands for.

I suggest everyone getting the game to go through "The Midnight Ride" installation guide in order to get some essential mods that will make your game much more stable and also improve on numerous things. The game also has the biggest modding community next to Skyrim that have made insane stuff over the years (damn, they even made some completely new experiences). You name it, there is a mod of it made for Fallout 4.

Personally - I think it's underrated. Mostly reminding me of Bayonetta, it's a great hack n slash game.

The combat is really smooth and enjoyable. Controls are pretty much the same as in the other games, but using Angel/Demon weapons and making combos is just satisfying. There are many enemy types, all of them requiring different combos in order to defeat.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3259328828
Game's aesthetic looks great and it runs great. I absolutely loved the variety of ideas and creativity they put into designing these stages.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3258508974
Soundtrack goes incredibly hard, it's very diverse and catchy as well.
The game is linear but you've still got more freedom to discover compared to, let's say, DMC 4. Like in the other games, there are secret missions, which are much more diverse.

Now onto some things I didn't like - as many say, the game is a bit generic. Compared to the original, the characters are a bit cringy. Too many action sequences and not enough playable content - I would really like if the boss fights were harder and if there was more of them overall. It's also noticeably easier than the other games.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3258508336
The devil trigger is just weird and you can't rebind it on controller.

I think it's an enjoyment to play, even as your very first DMC game.

Tempted to leave this a big fat "not recommended" considering what an utterly UNPLAYABLE MESS this game is without mods. Thankfully, Bethesda games seem to always have the community to clean up the mess Bethesda leaves behind them. For this, I highly recommend you to check out Viva New Vegas installation guide BEFORE DOWNLOADING the game from Steam (or The Best of Times guide if you would like Fallout 3 and Fallout NV in one game), which will guide you through the installation tips and essential mods for a flawless experience. If you don't follow these steps, your game will crash every 3 or 4 minutes on your Windows 10/11 systems, that is if you get past the infinite loading screens or the savegame loading crashes.

Past the issues with modern systems, this game is everything people wanted from Fallout 3. Most noticeably - the story, the characters, the mechanics are all improved on.

The story is just really good. I personally think it's far superior to Fallout 3's vault dweller storyline. Here, you're the Courier Six, a person of huge importance to the future of the New Vegas, but you can't even remember the reason of being so, because a murder was attempted on you which ultimately wiped your memory. After you're dug up from your grave and healed, you make your goal to find your "murderer" and understand why was the thing you carried of such huge importance. Along the road, you meet the factions in New Vegas that all try to take the hold of the infamous Vegas Strip, held by the secretive Mr. House.

What I also liked more are the characters. Animations are better and I liked the voice acting far more. You can actually feel the emotions in the voice acting, comparing to Fallout 3 which was just monotone all the time, no matter the situation. But the biggest improvement is in dialogue options. At times there was just too much of dialogue (especially in the Old World Blues DLC), but even then it is well written and you're able to profoundly understand the characters reasons, motives and ambitions. I liked this much more over Fallout 3's dialogue because the dialogue options there ended up being really confusing and it could've easily lead to an outcome you didn't actually want. This also makes all of the characters much more rememberable. What I didn't like is how some progression in dialogue is hard-locked if you don't have the skill points or experience - to further explain what I mean by this, if you choose the skill point/experience dialogue options it will get you the best outcome 100% of the time, but if you don't meet these requirements and if you choose any other options they will get you rejected or in combat. This way the player really doesn't even need to think about what has to be said if you want a good outcome, you could just choose the locked dialogue options, or go away and level up your skills, and then come back.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3245068882
Now onto the mechanics. Most of it is straight up ported out of Fallout 3, but the most important additions are associations with factions. Sure, you had factions in Fallout 3 like the Brotherhood of Steel, but it never mattered to any other factions if you worked with Brotherhood of Steel, they only cared about your standing with them personally. In Fallout NV, all your actions matter. You can't make an action with the NCR and not make a bad impression on the Legion. Or you could just say "♥♥♥♥ you" to all of them and make bad connections with everyone while building your own empire. This way, everything feels much more immersive and you're required to understand these factions through talking with their followers to make further decisions on your path. However, I would've liked if it was bit harder to choose between these factions. I think for the most players, NCR was the obvious choice. Even the game kind of leads you into doing so. Nevertheless, all of these choices lead to different quests and different endings, which is one of the biggest qualities of this game.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3245072714
The Mojave Wasteland feels pretty much the same compared to Capital Wasteland, only difference is that some locations have multiple parts within it so it's much easier to teleport when you need to.

Onto the DLCs. I would say it's a lot of decent expansions, and I rank them all pretty much the same, because where some lack in content compared to others, they get points in being a lot of fun to play.

Dead Money DLC is a pretty unusual story for a heist. The level design outside of Sierra Madre is very confusing but the stealth part is a lot of fun, because the atmosphere genuinely gives you a survival horror feeling, and the origin story of Sierra Madre, it's creator and his failed love is really interesting as well. Interactions and stories of Dog/God, Christina and Dean Domino are also fun. What I didn't like was the constant bomb collar triggers. I liked the mechanics and the tension it builds, but they eventually get overused. The DLC relies a lot on trial-and-error with all the speakers and radios you need to deactivate, but what makes it even less fun is that almost all of the doors between you and these sound emitters are locked or inaccessible.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3254409377
Honest Hearts DLC is a bit different. It's own untainted open world both looks really nice and is fun to explore, while meeting the natives and their way of living. However, the quest is tragically short and it really underused the open world of the Zion Valley that was given. Characters like Joshua Graham, a very interesting individual you're so eager to meet after hearing all the legends about the "Burned Man", really don't get their time to shine because of the absence of the plot in the storyline which just makes the overall execution bad.

Old World Blues DLC was over-the-top weird, but it's comedic approach makes up for it. It's a fun sandbox for a really amusing variety of new weapons. The Big MT open world also looks like nothing we've ever had in Fallout before. The lunacy of all the characters you meet is what makes this entertaining but the amount of dialogue you're given is just too damn much. The quests are also boring and repetitive, with almost all of them being the exact same - go explore here, get the holo-tapes and upgrade this piece of equipment. One thing I do like about all this is the amount of really powerful weapons, perks and buffs you're given by completing the DLC.

And for the last one, Lonesome Road. During the main game storyline, you've always wondered who Courier Six was? Why were his actions important to so many people? This DLC and the character of Ulysses answers a lot of these questions. It's the idea that all your actions, no matter how small they might appear, could make immense consequences what makes the story of the Divide so fascinating. How they interconnected Ulysses with the other DLCs is also something I liked. It's hard to explain the plot without spoiling a big part, so I think it's best for you to experience. The design of the Divide is OK, and it is on the harder side because of the amount of enemies and Deathclaws you have to fight, while also being exposed to very lethal doses of radiation most of the time. So, Lonesome Road is not really a lot of fun to play, but it is an engaging story concept and a very important piece of lore of New Vegas.

It's probably the best game in the franchise. I've just completed it once more and I'm already looking forward to playing this again making some different outcomes. I think that in itself says enough about how much I love this game.

Also, big up once again for the FNV modding community. Bunch of legends for not letting this game die.

Classic. An awfully slow and uninteresting start which you could compare to the most boring walking simulators turns into one of the most amazing exploring experiences as you go on. The main story is kind of silly, and I must be honest - by the time I finished everything this game had to offer, I completely forgot I even went through it. It's probably the simplest scenario one could write, and the characters are incredibly uninteresting.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3240793615
But all these quests leave you to exploring - the game's strongest advantage. First time being out you would say it just looks utterly boring - it's a post-nuclear environment, everything looks cold and plain, it's absolutely quiet all the time, there are little to no NPCs and you have absolutely no ways of transport but walking. But the amount of explorable places and random encounters this game has to offer is insane. Even out in such a boring world you have a feeling that you could be ambushed by mutants or raiders at any time, which you do most of the time. And as the game went on, as I gained experience and built up my character, I've felt more and more excited to continue this exploration. Soon, every enemy encounter felt more fun.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3240493189
When it comes to the quests, they're about OK. The characters are not really rememberable though, and their writing is OK at best. There are often multiple dialogue choices you're given, but they often end up being very confusing.

As an RPG sometimes it just isn't fun. Combined with clunky weapon mechanics, some enemies are just like bullet sponges. Movement mechanics are also annoying.

Now onto some things I really didn't like. The level design is good but the mini-map and checkpoint system is atrocious. I've spent hours walking around trying to figure out if a marker points to upper or lower levels, or if I had to enter somewhere completely else and then go through that complex to get to where I'm supposed to. And quest lines do not help at all.
Then, I absolutely hated the quick save. If you want to have fun please save your game manually whenever you can. I've lost tens of hours of progress, sometimes even up to 3-4 hours of progress at a time because the quick save really only works when you're entering/exiting specific locations.
Besides that, the game also often crashes by itself.

What I also hated is that this version of the game is just unplayable in both fullscreen and windowed mode. If you play in fullscreen mode, you can never alt-tab out of the game or the window will become unresponsive and you won't be able to get back into the game. If you play in windowed mode, almost the entirety of the HUD is cut out and you can't resize the window. For this I had to go online and download a borderless windowed fix to play in, but in that case you don't have the Steam overlay (I believe it could be fixed altogether with a little bit of fiddling around, but I was just not inclined).

Also, the green tint made my eyes burn, and turning the game off resulted in an instant mind♥♥♥♥ of saturated color sensations with unbelievable vibrance. Every time I turned the game off, I felt like I was blind all my life and just now given a holy sense of vision.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3240486667
But I do have to give one massive thumbs up for the F3 modding community that continues on giving even more than a decade later. The amount of fixes, redesigns and additions they've made over that time is just amazing.

So yeah, definitely a BUGGY MESS of a game. You'll need some strong nerves for this one. But it still ends up being a lot of fun.

Need for Speed games really feel underwhelming for me nowadays. They're all in the same ballpark if I had to rate them, but for the most time I get back to this title out of them all. I'm not sure for what reason though. It's probably that the night city vibes remind me so much of the beloved Underground titles that I grew up on.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3236396320
Sadly, beyond the vibes, there is not much to root for in this game. It's still too arcadey for my taste, the story is mediocre but the characters are cringe and goofy as hell, the car selection is kind of small, the handling, even though there is truly a lot to fiddle about and setup to your liking, it often ends up with your car really misbehaving and having weird snaps when using the handbrake to drift. I liked the modification. But even then, it's not as flashy as I would expect a NFS game to be.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3235618223
It's an OK game. I get back to it sometimes just for the vibes. The motorsport legends they chose for this one is absolutely great though.

I feel like among this reboot of the big tree, this game was kind off left forgotten and underrated. I wouldn't say it's miles off of the other two, but it is noticeably better. Like the rest of the franchise, the game's scenery is no short of breathtaking. It's incredibly detailed, with a ton of challenges and side missions available. It also probably has the best and the biggest tomb and crypt exploration levels this franchise has to offer with all of them having unique puzzles, which I found not too hard but they definitely got me thinking and they were really immersive too, challenging not just your thinking but knowledge of mechanics too.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3228138523
The thing that sets this game apart much more is the story. The story and the narrative is much more interesting, captivating and intriguing. Lara's motives are coming from a "feeling" that she is obliged to continue her father's discovery that got him killed due to the humiliation and mockery her father received as an archaeologist, but her ultimately realizing that this is her own path and decides to shift her cause to help the natives and others she met along the way. This makes her quite a complex character and she's much more emotionally driven, but it's also more resonating for the player. And this great character building doesn't just stick with her, Jacob is a really good character as well, with other characters such as Jonah, Ana and Konstantin being decent as well, but still considerably better than those in Tomb Raider 2013.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3220522017
The mechanics are about what you would expect from this franchise, but it ends up being quite harder compared to other games adding a couple of new pieces of equipment. It really tests out your reflexes, and patience sometimes. Patience because at moments it feels so unresponsive. I've missed out on a simple jump tons of times just because I didn't feel like Lara completing the animation thinking it would be OK, and ending up dead.

The combat is also a lot better. If you get into an open fire, you're gonna go down in only a couple of shots, so going stealthy is pretty much the way for the most part. Beacuse of this, the game introduces a couple of baits and craftable weapons like molotovs or grenades. The weapons are also pretty good. You've got a decent assortment of weapons to choose from, and they each have enough upgrades to make a difference in what you choose. Same goes for equipment and outfits which also have perks of their own. This way exploring by yourself outside of the main story line and finding weapons parts / outfits makes a difference further in your playthrough.

One thing I find weird is examining the relics, most of the time you're looking straight at the clue but you just have to rotate it around until the game figures it out.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3228137991
Also, the DLCs are great. Both the Baba Yaga and the Craft Manor one. I actually believe that if Craft Manor had more content it would've been an easy 4/5. It's not that hard but doing some detective work is really fun in this one.

So yeah, I definitely recommend this one. It's an exciting and engaging game with beautiful landscapes, ancient ruins, challenging puzzles and quite intense combat.

I'm not really sure what's up with the ratings on this one. Even though the quality of the story and characters is not really comparable to Revelations 1, the gameplay is so much better for me. It's far more fast paced, similar to RE6, I've liked the level design more here, especially in the beginning, and I really like the usual modern RE mechanics more, including the co-op with shared inventories and crafting, sprint / dodging mechanics and crucial melee combat compared to the much simplified mechanics in the previous game.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3199147667
One thing I see as a downside is that the co-op play isn't really made for multiplayer - one character does almost all of the work while the second one just follows and assists in finding treasures and removing some character-specific obstacles. However, I still think it's a really fun co-op experience.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3204471962
I prefer this survival horror execution much more over the action horror execution of Revelations 1. This feels like Resident Evil. The atmosphere is much better, and the overall design just feels gnarly and twisted. What I really like are the boss fights. Even though I found them somewhat easy, the fight scenarios were good and I find the design of the boss characters just outstanding. Alex Wesker and Neil Fisher's mutations are crazy.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3204474077
The raid mode is also just far better compared to the raid mode in Revelations 1. Better mission stages, much more characters, more weapons and more perks. It's a blast to play, especially with others.

Not a big fan of the Extra Episodes though.

If you're a Resident Evil fan, give this one a try. It's a really decent game.

It's a decent game. Playing it feels similar to RE5, but it is quite slow and too much action horror for my liking.
However, it's a great story of two agencies false flagging bio-terrorist attacks in order to get to the bottom of the corruption within them, with some really well written characters, and even the raid mode is quite a grind, especially with friends.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3198089969
What I didn't like is how straightforward the game was and how little satisfaction killing enemies and bosses gave me, it's just shooting down enemies with really underused melee combat. And the dodging mechanic is just really bad, why not just bind it to a separate key instead of W and left mouse click.

Everything about this game is just made quite simply compared to other games in the franchise, or like, dumbed down. You don't have an inventory system, weapons are simple, melee is simple, there are no weapon upgrades but rather simple perks, there is no crafting which makes healing completely dumbed down - pick up a plant and eat it. It's kind of nice to see but also takes out of immersion compared to other RE games.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3198090548
The boss mutations are something I really liked in this game. However, the boss fights feel really slow and easy.
https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3198979548
Also, you might experience stutters while playing. I'm not sure if it's level loading or something else, but it gets annoying at times.

It's still a good game and quite an important piece in the overall story, containing the origin story of the BSAA. Not any worse than the other games in the franchise, but some might find it a bit too boring.

What an iconic trilogy. And the most amazing thing about it is that it really doesn't feel as old as it is.

Besides the small graphics update and higher resolutions this HD collection received, this just feels so... playable. It's fluid game mechanics feel so satisfying and I honestly believe it could even compare to some titles coming out now, almost 20 years later. The main thing that kind of gives it away are the sometimes-awkward fixated camera angles - mostly in the first two parts of this trilogy, but it's almost completely resolved in DMC 3.

So lets talk about what makes this early trilogy so iconic. Emerging from the very first prototype of Resident Evil 4, it's interrelated detailed gothic atmosphere and level designs feel and look amazing, while also being really well thought through. It's a great feeling having to figure out pretty much everything that's going on for yourself, without having waypoints and specific quest lines like every modern game has, and that's one of the wonderfully engaging things these old titles give you.

The combat.. it is so fun. Fast paced badass action is all this game is about. A demon of immaculate powers wielding big ass swords and shooting akimbo guns, or rocket launchers. The action these games provide is on the very edge of all your imaginations, and it challenges and rewards the player to pull off the craziest combos possible. At the same time, these games can be VERY hard, especially considering the DMC 3's Turbo mode - it is mind blowing to say at least and very often unforgivable of any small mistakes. For this reason I warn you that it will surely be a lot of dying and repeating in your playthroughs. But at the same time, even though I've died hundreds of times to them, all of the bosses are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing.

What impressed me the most is how good DMC 1 still is. It feels so fresh, and it's immersive level design and amazing art direction is probably the strongest point it has. And sure it's dated look is consisted of very low-poly textures, but it's far from being an "ugly" game.

One of the things I do wish for are the updated cinematics, they're pretty much the original low resolution cinematics from the game's first release. The menu has also been mostly unchanged, it's the same 4:3 low resolution menu as in the original games, just completely remapped for an Xbox controller - and I strongly recommend it since it's 100% just plug and play.

This collection does have some things I don't like about it though. DMC 2 for example. It's such a ridiculous game and it's so disconnected from the rest of the trilogy. Everything about it is just so plain, bland and generic. Did anyone at the studio even listen to the feedback from the first one? The game is boring and it's mechanics, like enemy targeting, just feel disgusting, and what makes it even worse is how overused this is in some missions. It seriously makes you rip off your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ head at times. What is so unsatisfying is that more than half the game you spend fighting everyone from a huge distance, so you just end up spamming your rocket launcher. Where's the fun in that? Next to that, the story? What is even going on? Not even one character in this game gets a proper introduction. It's barely mentioned who the main villain is. And the level design is atrocious - it doesn't get any more uninteresting than this one. It has almost nothing in common with the first and the third part of this trilogy. The only thing about it - it's a very short suffering, sitting at just about 2 or 3 hours of gameplay.
One great thing that I have to mention about DMC 2 is that it probably has the most badass looking Dante in this collection. He absolutely ate that ♥♥♥♥. While mentioning Dante, his characteristics, going from being serious and less talkative in DMC 1 due to the nature of the situation, to his charismatic and comedic appearance in DMC 3 is just great. He's a really well written protagonist and whoever did his performance nailed it.

Some of the mentionable issues I found with DMC 1 and 3, which I honestly don't really mind that much - the voice tracks and subtitles often go out of sync with the cutscenes. You might also get some frame drops in DMC 1 that kind of make your game slow-mo for a couple of seconds.

Even besides DMC 2 and some minor issues, I can't even say how much I recommend this collection. It's a great piece of hack and slash history and it brings back a very nostalgic era where developers truly cared about what they were making. For the best experience - please just skip the second game entirely... Or at least leave it for the last one.
