This is a very niche but interesting drawing application. I can export to SVG so it's great for making unusual art and weirdly D&D dungeon maps. If you are looking for that unique pixel look this software is good. It does require a bit of skill to get the best out of it but I think I makes me think of new ways of using it every time I try it.

The pixel art is amazing. The boss design is very good. But that's it. There is no exploration, no discovery, the map is boring, the story non-existent and combat aside from bosses is pretty boring. This is a frustrating game because it could be so much better, it had the right elements to be great. It just needed better level design and it would be a good game.

This game is like the reincarnation of Myst. If you like that game you'll like this one. Some of the puzzles a little bit hard to figure out the rules but the environment is great and you can explore and try to find another puzzle.

The keys to a good metroidvania are good combat and good exploration. This fails at both. Combat is boring and uninteresting (and hard to control) and the exploration is so-so. The art and the story are great but get swallowed up by the horrendous game play (hit jump and hit at the same time! So hard with the steam controller!) and the boring exploration. You get a huge sword ability early in the game, so I backtracked to the area where some plants blocked my way only to learn that it did nothing. That would've been interesting. What you get at least at the beginning is very much on rails. Why people recommend this is beyond me.

A missed opportunity of a game. This game with it's ninja character could've been a stealth + metroidvania mashup that would work very well. Instead it's a punishing platformer that only a hard-core Japanese audience would even like. Instead of challenging, this game is frustrating even on it's easiest setting. The controls are terrible as the precise jumping and clinging to walls is a key part of the game but the strider sticks to walls when you don't want it and doesn't when you desperately need him too. The only cool thing about the controls is that double jump resets after getting hit so you can get knocked of a wall and jump back up and grab it again if you're lucky. The map is terrible for navigating. The story makes no sense. So why is this a missed opportunity? Because the visuals are excellent, the characters are excellent, the environment is excellent. If you grabbed all the digital assets that make the game and change its focus from combat to exploration and stealth, this game would be amazing. Alas it is a frustrating hodgepodge of greatness, mediocrity and foolish game design.

The gameplay of this game is something to be experienced. The controls, the design, the music, this game is so well put together. Highly recommend it.

This game is really an interactive novel. You must love to read. If you do you'll like the game. The enhanced version looks beautiful and the additional options are life savers make sure you turn them all on. There is a good beginner no spoilers guide on Steam by SunsetAmethyst.

This cute metroidvania is not worth your time. It's controls are the opposite of tight. It's near impossible to move the character with satisfaction and this is unforgivable in a platformer.

One of my favorite games this is a bad ass exploitation movie inspired on-rails shot 'em up full of every cliché in the movies and every bad word in the dictionary. You play as one of two dectectives on a zomb... er... mutant infested town and hit all the locations of typical exploitation movies using your keyboard to nail them zomb... mutants. This game has a strong mature theme and hits it realy well. Not for all but if it's for you, it's a fun ride.
