Last Update Forever -- Maybe: 2018-08-13 @ 2099 hrs
No matter what I do, I seem to keep playing this game. Seriously, what makes this game so addicting, I can't explain. Must be the fact that you can always have fun with friends, as long as everyone doesn't care about living or dying, that's the tranquility that I've found.

So, I say this, THANK YOU devs. I don't say it enough, but thank you for for making an amazing game that has made me bond with so many people unlike any other game so far.

I hear a lot of changes through dev streams and Q&A's that I like, and I you guys do the right thing when implementing them.

Review Prologue:
Yes, I am making an update periodically as I play the game. I think it is worth while to see a history of reviews. It is also a good reminder of why the game is rated the way it is. The devs are making good strives to improve the game and that is great news. The reason I do not recommend the game is because of the flaws in the game that have not been addressed for years. Many of them have been touched upon, some never, some broke the game even more. I would, however, recommend this game to people because of the tight nit community that has brought me and many friends together. Unlike bigger games like Fortnite, OW, PUBG, etc., you will always run into people you have seen before several times. Often times even streamers. This is what I love about DBD. What I hate is the slowness to react to some issues (worse, have their heads in the sand), or rebalancing the game in a way that makes the issue worse. It breaks my heart to see that be the case. The devs do try hard, and I give them props for that.

Update 2018-07-09 @ 1963 hrs
Ironworks of Misery, Coal Tower, Wretched Shop, and Fractured Cowshed are still a complete joke. Any half-decent survivor can run these "main" buildings and stall the killer for 2 gens at least. There are no mindgames to these buildings. If you try to run back the other way even by hiding your killer stain, the survivor can either just wait at the window, or completely run another direction, since they can see you from so far away. You may argue that the entity will block the window, but in some cases you don't even go into the Chase stage, which then means the Entity will NEVER block the window. Absolutely disgraceful. I understand they are working on killers and perks to rebalance or diversify the game, but as my very original review mentioned -- map design is the CORE of the game. The balance of the game needs to hinge on the base killer speed in a chase, then the killer abilities can be balanced around it.

Update: 2018-07-08 @ 1950 hrs
Whenever I play trapper, I feel disappointed. The disarm time for the trap was originally changed when the devs refused to change trapping under the hook. Now that you can no longer trap under the hook, Trapper has become essentially useless. His traps constantly get disarmed against good survivors, get sabotaged, and get outplayed by Small Game. Clown has no counter to smokes, Doctor has no counter to Tier III madness. I find it disappointing that the poster child is one of the weakest killers depending on the map. Wraith is also another extremely weak killer. The Wraith Cube did nothing to improve his chase game. In fact, it made it worse... Decloaking now slows the Wraith down considerably compared to before. This change is unphatomable. Not to mention that HE CAN GET LIGHTBURNED. The original killers have direct counters to them, but not the new killers... I think these counters are antiquated with the evolved playstyle of survivors and the game itself. Trappers hate having their traps disarmed, and the Wraiths are just oppressed by the flashlight. The only real good killer is the Hillbilly.

In a sense, the Hillbilly is the most "balanced" killer in the game with the current state of the game, where generators are done so quick, and map pressure is possible with his extreme mobility. He is the only killer that you can play without being a camping, tunneling, unfun killer. You can technically kill effectively with the other 11 killers, but you pretty much need to play like a "scumbag" (in quotes b/c you can argue it's a via strat). Camp the guy on the hook, tunnel the guy that just got unhooked until he's dead, then repeat with the next one. It's just 0 fun for that poor soul.

I don't have solutions, but things need to be done... still...

Pretty good job so far tho /s.

Update: 2018-07-02 @1900 hrs
The game has gotten a bit better. They still need to improve certain killers and find some inspiration to making objectives (doing gens) have more variety. That said, since the 2.0.1 update, I've been playing the game way more than I have in the past few months. Blood Lodge is still a tough map for many killers, even though they just drop the pallet and run by. Badham Pre-school main building has improved in play factor, although, it's still not super fun to play on. I still wish SWF can stay as a group after the game... only 2 years in the working...

I still don't have legacies back, but I still don't see any light in sight for me on that. Especially with the killer legacy lighting revamp, it's more regrettable that they haven't given it back to me.

I hear improvements and reworks coming in for perks and killers. Hope they are worth the wait.

Old review when I lost my progress due to a game bug:
While I appreciate that the devs rewarded me bloodpoints for the trouble, what baffles me more is their inability to revert my save file, even though IT'S NOW SAVED ON THEIR SERVERS. Before, if you lost your save file and had a backup, you could restore it. Furthermore, the DEVS RECOMMENDED that you backup your save files for this kind of event. However, ever since they change the way save files were stored IN ORDER TO PREVENT SAVE FILE LOST, YOU CAN STILL LOSE YOUR PROGRESS. Worse, you CAN'T restore any backup save files that you made for this very event, nor will they restore it for you (or at least they did not take up the offer when I e-mailed them).

Total BS. I don't want bloodpoints and spend +12 hrs to use all of it to restore my progress (yes, it still takes VERY long to spend blood points despite increasing bloodweb node speed).

I want my old save back. I want my LEGACIES.

Oh yeah, about the game itself... It's still buggy with every major update.

PS: I deleted my previous review completely for this, because this truly reflects my feelings for the game. Not that it's a worse review than the previous anyway...
