Its a frustrating game to start playing. The menus are weirdly obtuse. The battlepass popups are annoying. the wait times can be a tad long. But once you are in a match there is something fun about getting killed in the first 4 minutes. IDK, It keeps me entertained.

Some complain you typically cant remove cards from your deck. Thats like complaining you cant kick the ball in Basketball. This isnt that kind of deck builder. You have unlimited hand size, it is in your best interest to mill your own deck. That is the way this game is played. Its quite good. Sessions are fairly quick. You arent quite as on rails (I do love Monstertrain though). The opening of the map is a cool bit of strategy. I really enjoy both aspects of this game. The battles and the map.

forgot how annoying the unloading of armies with assigned agents can be.

I dont like how the game forces me to move and sometimes it seems like it even decides to attack objects instead of monsters. Like, I wanted to fire off some magic at a goblin and instead I blasted a chair the opposite direction, then moved next to it. The game looks really great, I love the ascetic. Is this movement and targeting really out of my direct control? Am I just failing to grasp something here?

This game is freakin amazing. Single player starts off easy and gets hhaaaaarrrrdddd. The cosmetic unlocks are fun. Multiplayer is a blast. Perfect for a LAN party or a discord night with friends.
