There's a lot of charm and a WHOLE lot of potential in this game, but it seems to have received next to NO testing, as the game has HUNDREDS of soft-locks and bugs in it. It should have been released as an early access title, because its not done as is. I'll suggest it, because I'm sure once its been patched properly, I won't have a single complaint, but my suggestion is this:

KEEP AN EYE on the Discussion board. Also watch for some more bugfix patches. Once the game tightens up, buy it immediately. Its worth the price, it just needs some fixing.

Whoo boy.
So lets get this started, this is a very good and fun immersive sim game.
However the balancing on the economy is a mess. Keeping the truck up and repaired, and replacing all the power cells and filters will cost you far more than you can reasonably make, leading to a slow burn loss unless you minmax just about everything. It ends up feeling like a rogue-like with how often you get stuck into not having enough money to survive, but considering runs take hours sometimes, its not a very satisfying loop. I'd suggest keeping an eye on this game first and see if they do any patching to the economy before picking it up.

I stumbled on this little game on accident and man I'm glad I did.
There's a lot of games that have come out in the wake of Five Nights at Freddy's and its myriad of successors, but I think this one might have me the most hopeful.
Its rough, its short, but its clear from even the first few moments that this game has a lot of heart behind it.
I can't wait to see what becomes of it.

Early Access Review
I could forsee this game having a lot to offer in the future, but as it stands its incredibly lacking. With only three main biomes to explore, you see everything this game has to offer within the first couple hours. The level progression system of 'Realms' really only denotes to a regulated color-pallete change and enemies with more health.
These are all things that could change in future updates to add more variety, but like a lot of people said, theres a lot of charm missing in this game. It feels like launch day No Man's Sky. Which, while it gives me hope, that hope can only be cashed in if the Devs are willing to put the work in, and we'll have to see.

One recommendation, if the devs happen to see this:
Remove the homebase restrictions. Its really annoying and counter productive to the gameplay direction to ONLY be able to place your home base on the starter worlds that have less resources and fewer interesting landmarks. It was super disheartening to use the new recipes and building pieces I had earned to build a base only to be told that the base didn't count and I could only teleport back to the tutorial base back in the first realm I visited.

In summary, sadly, I can't suggest this game as is, especially at its $30 price tag. But I'm hopeful the devs will stick with it and listen to the community, much like success stories like No Man's Sky.

Do not buy this game unless you're on top-of-the-line hardware.
I'm on a GTX1070 and I could barely run the thing.
To put that into perspective, Baldur's Gate 3 and Exoprimal run without hiccup or issue, even when being streamed.
Even on the lowest graphical setting, the game kept freezing, music would stop and pause, and audio would chug to load.
Its not optimized well.

EDIT: I discovered the issue, this game WONT RUN if installed on a hard drive, it NEEDS to be installed on an SSD.

Give the game a chance.
Its got great gameplay and a potentially addicting gameplay loop.
It needs work but hopefully it'll get it.

The best part of this game is how many "Its too easy" negative reviews have like 3-5 hours of playtime at the time of review.
Its a JRPG. What kind of difficulty were you expecting out of the first ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chapter.

Once again, I wish there was a MIXED option on these reviews.

First off, this is hardly a game. If you stumble through it with your eyes closed, it'll take you around 20 minutes. But its free. So I can't HATE it. But it definitely feels like a tech demo or a proof of concept moreso than a game that should be on the steam store advertising Patch 1.0. Theres a plot, but it doesn't go anywhere. Theres interesting movement options, but they actively fight against the combat mechanics. This is the definition of a mixed bag.

EDIT:
Its been two damn years without an update. The game's dead.
