The best survival sandbox game out there. Period. If the cold, hunger or wildlife doesn't kill you, there's a good chance your own hybris will when you think you have it all figured out. For me, no other game can combine ambience, music and environment in a way that will keep your eyes glued to the screen and your ears at full alert through every game session.

I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a survival game that focuses on the overall feel and experience of the player and not relying on action-packed nonsense.

A timeless classic and one of my all-time favourite games. No other game manages to send me back in time to what it felt like when a young boy started his journey into the wonderful world of PC games. The music, suspense, gameplay and overall setting of the game is, for me, a gaming experience never to be forgotten.

The best of the X-COM games and I don't see that changing.
