This review is only for old Sudden Strike fans, specifically those interested in multiplayer.
I don't normally write reviews, but this I need to get off my chest.

I've only had 12 minutes on the game and I've asked for a refund. These 12 minutes were enough to come to the following conclusions:

The multiplayer is not Sudden Strike. It is more like a filtered down version of CoH2 in terms of scale and feeling. You start with about 10 vehicles and maybe 15 single infantry units, so forget about any big battles, front lines etc. Artillery, at guns, aa guns, trucks and just the overall incredible variety of units that were present in the original games' MP are all missing. Fighting over balloons and trying to hold on to a pair of them for dear life so as to get reinforcements.. gone. Big maps... gone.

Pretty much everything that Sudden Strike touted on the box as its selling points are not present in this iteration of the series.

Instead the game has fancy graphics and physics. But it lacks any feel of weight in its units and the interactive physics (as in you will see a p4 push 3 killed shermans in front of it like they're paper weights instead of either being blocked by or crushing the husks). Because of the physics based movement, unit pathing is objectively worse than it was even in the original game. Units love to clump up and your little platoon of units quickly look like sort of a StarCraft 2 deathball. At least for a few seconds until most of it gets blown up in a sort of tank melee.

What it comes down to is, if you were a sudden strike fan and want that kind of multiplayer in a modern game, the don't bother.
If you are a RTS MP gamer, also don't bother.

As for the single player I make no statements, I came for the multiplayer and I didn't find it.
