What else is there to say, Obsidian knows how to make a damn good RPG. While yes, like other reviews have said, this one is more simple compared to something like Pillars of Eternity, it is definitely more in the vein of Outer Worlds. Quite literally this game is to Outer Worlds what Skyrim is to Fallout. Take that as you will. If you enjoyed Outer Worlds, than you will definitely love this game. This is scratching an Elder Scrolls itch for me that hasn't been scratched since 11/11/11. Beautiful world, enjoyable story, very very fun combat, not too much to do, not too little to do. As Goldilocks would say, it is "justttt right."

EDIT: The #1 complaint, not being able to create multiple characters.... is already fixed. Y'all just need to chill and let them figure it out.

Review bombing a game on launch day is a big yikes... just saying.

This game was a ride! I have owned it since launch and have never actually sat down to really try to beat it. But recently I have been going through all of my survival horror games and I made my way to this one.

This game is definitely worth a play through if you're a fan of classic survival horror games or even modern ones (there is a mode for both styles of play)

The story was honestly confusing at first but all comes together with some insane twists and turns here and there.

I think for being an indie studio with what I imagine was a smaller budget, it is very very well done. The story is a big budget story and better than alot of triple A titles in the same genre.

I CANNOT wait fir 1994 to release (hopefully) soon!

Surprisingly a very fun beat em up game that is reminiscent of the early Xbox 360 Era of gaming. 3rd person, a tremendous amount of weaponry, very linear, and a repetitive (yet fun) loop of, cutscene, walk down corridor, walk into arena, kill all enemies, rinse and repeat. With a few boss fights thrown in there.

As tedious as that sounds, the game is fun as hell. Giving you enough variation in enemies and weapons and abilities to always make it enjoyable, and a decent enough story to keep you interested.

As I said, I was very surprised by this game and I plan to return and play it on harder difficulties when I have the time.

Overall, after taking a bit to really get into this game. I ended up thoroughly enjoying it.

As someone who grew up with Dead Space, this was a nice way to relieve some of those memories in a new light. This game is VERY much a spiritual successor to Dead Space. Which can be good or bad depending on what you are wanting.

The story took a bit to take off but once it gets going, it's very interesting. Combat is really nice, and after the initial launch stutter was fixed, the game runs well. This game isn't GOTY or anything like that, but definitely worth it for anyone who loved Dead Space or for people who just enjoy Survival Horror as a whole.

From where this game came to now, is astounding. I really wish the game would have released the way it currently is. If it had, this game would easily be one of the most popular zombie survival games to date. However, when it launched, it was merely a shell of what it is today. It really is sad, because if this game had the player base it deserves, it would be INSANE. The survival alone is top tier, the looting is satisfying, hordes are terrifying, and the PVP Mental Health system is very unique for a game like this. I really hope people will see this game for the gem it is now, and not what it was at launch. The devs have been AMAZING at working on this game, and I really hope we can make it become as popular as it deserves to be.

I now have almost 60 hours in, and in the two weeks since release. There have been TWO major content updates and fixes... yet people still complain. I have never seen developers pump out updates this quickly and efficiently before.

I am not entirely sure how this game has such mixed reviews. As someone who avidly plays survival games, and those games being the sole reason I even built a PC back in 2013, I have been through more survival games than the average person, if it said survival, I bought it. I have played some terrible ones, and some great ones.

With that said, Icarus is a unique survival game, in that there are objectives and a time limit to how long you are on the planet. As well as various environments to explore. The core survival of the game itself is better than ANYTHING released in the last few years for survival. The crafting and skills tree are fun and easy to grasp. The game is BEAUTIFUL, idk how people are having issues with running this, I only have a 2080 and am able to run this game at the highest settings and a 1440p monitor and maintain 80FPS at a LOW point.

Nothing irritates me more than the toxicity that is the gaming community, they review bomb games within the first few days instead of giving devs a chance to fix the issues they are upset about. With the review bombs, causes the rating of the game to drop and now people who are on the fence about buying it won't. This toxic trait of the Steam Community is what is killing games with amazing potential.

All in all, this is a great survival game that is enhanced by a very unique idea that will only be polished over time (I hope) grab some friends or play alone and sink some hours into it. As of writing this, I only have 2 or so hours in it. But I GUARANTEE that if you check this review in the future, my hours count will only increase.

As someone who normally does not enjoy MMO's, I really like this one. It 100% has some bugs and things I want changed. However, being so new and already addressing some major issues and releasing a content update already. I have no doubt it will only get better. Definitely worth a try for anyone even remotely curious.

World War Z meets Aliens. I am very happy that after all this time, a good xenomorph, horde based shooter, has finally arrived. This is what Aliens: Colonial Marines should have been. This game has everything your basic co-op horde shooter has. Missions where you complete objectives, an overall account level, classes, levels for each classes, levels for each weapon, and skill trees. Everything that a good game of this style should have to keep people playing. It is definitely buggy at times, and the lack of in game voice is a bummer, but the good about this game far outweighs the bad. Now I can only hope they continue to add more to this game because if they do, I will be sure to keep playing! If you're a fan of World War Z, Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor, Vermintide, or other games of this genre, then this is a game you won't want to miss!

I did not play this game for long at all. But when I did, everyone was so happy and friendly with each other. It was like a community I had never seen in gaming before. It needs to be released in his name. RIP Byron.
