Great little clicker game

I wanted to like this game, being a fan of simluators in general. And having worked on more than my share of cars in my day. But it just falls short. The tutorial is woefully inadequate, especially if the player has no prior knowledge of car anatomy so to speak. Silly things too, like who changes a starter from the engine compartment? Or since when is an oil filter on top of the engine block? But I could forgive those things, if there was some challenge to the game, besides playing hide and seek with the parts, but diagnosing problems is limited to examining items, the test drives offer no actual benefit, yes, I wanted common mechanical issue sounds, thunking of a bad shock over bumps, clicking of a bad CV during turns etc.

Overall I'm giving this game a 3/10.

I got this game for free, and as a general rule, I enjoy physic based puzzle games. This wasnt an exception. Gameplay is simplistic, bounce the ball from a to b, using a predetermined number of lines. I didnt find much of a difficulty curve as the levelled progressed which disapointed me, however I play a lot of these games, so it may be due to prior experience. A new player may find the added challenges more, well, challenging. The bonus content levels however, definitely upped the difficulty quite a bit, and those were by far the most enjoyable/frustrating puzzles of the game.

I could've done with out the cutesy defeat the darkness story line, but thats a personal preference, it wasn't overbearing, and didnt detract from the game much, (and theres the option to skip all cutscenes), I just prefer to grind games like these from start to finish, no story needed. The ambience of the game was nice however, nothing amazing, but the minimalistic graphics and surrealish audio was a nice switch from most physics games. Overall I'm going to give this game 7/10, I personally wouldnt pay 8$ for it, but I'd buy it on sale for 5$ or less.

This was my first hidden object game on steam. This is not normally a genre I wouldve played, but I won it from a giveaway, and instead of letting it just gather dust on my account I figured I should play it straight away. Gameplay is pretty straight forward, first playthrough I played on easy, and just rage clicked on everything to find the objects. Second playthrough I played on expert and actually looked. Overall, too easy in my most humble of opinions. This is the first game I've 100 percented on steam, so that should give you an idea of its relative difficulty, especially considering I dont play these kind of games normally. Graphis seem better suited for a mobile game, story is mediocre at best, mechanics, well how do you screw up a point and click, so they get a point for that one.

Overall I'm giving it a 4/10, and thats being generous I think, because I dont like the genre, or at least I did not like this game, I wouldve rated it a 2, but I think my dislike of the genre may be affecting my opinion. So I may try a couple more HOGs before I decide for sure they arent for me. If you are looking for a quick easy 100% this is the game for you. If you want an in depth story, challenging puzzles, then look elsewhere.

Not that anyone cares about my opinion, but I've decided to start reviewing all my games, I figure it will force me to work my way through my backlog. This is the first game I picked.

I really enjoyed this game, I played on Normal difficulty and found it a bit too easy and forgiving, will probably restart it on hard at some pont in the future. As is common with many single player campaigns I felt the game was too short overall, I think it took me around 3 hours to complete. The story however was compelling, and I liked the one shot one kill sniper style of play, versus the normal pray and spray, shoot everything that moves, and then shoot the stuff that doesnt move fps style of game.

My one and only complaint (SPOILER) when you shoot Maddox, they took the time to make the animation for shooting through his scope, but his eye stays intact through the entire thing. Last I checked a .50 cal round through a scope and into your head, takes your eye with it. But I suppose since this is what I decided to fault the game over, that overall the devs did an outstanding job with this game.

8/10 Worth the money.

Fun game so far.
