* [s]FaceScan App simply does'nt work with Steam accounts[/s] they updated the app 2 days ago, now it works with "Login with Steam"
* MyCareer files can go completly lost, and you cannot prevent this or fix it by yourself

I own and liked NBA 2k15.
I Ignored all the bad comments and just gave 2k18 a try! [Screw me!]
I tried to get the FaceScan 2K App to work with Steam Login ... and failed. [Know for months, will probalbly never get fixed]
Nevermind. I started MyCareer.
Actually: I liked the intro, tutorials, tryouts and the cutscens. Pretty good writing! So whats the deal of not being able to skip them, folks? [Screw me! ²]
I liked the game itself. There were pros and cons, but overall I had fun playing the ball.
And I liked the progression too. Kinda realistic, and not very far away from 2k15 or older titles imo.
I reached the starting linup. Thing were going pretty well.

The other day, My Career File was missing. [Huh?]
I searched the internet and found out: this was a big issue on consoles months ago.
I found no way to restore my data by myself. [There really is no way]
I contacted the 2k support.
They made me create a new placeholder Carrer. And a video of my NBA 2k18 to make sure I am not making jokes.
After a couple of writings (Me mainly: "Are you serious?") they restored my noobish player to my placeholder file (They: "Good News!").
Just the player. Not the career. [What the ...]

I need to start all things over now. All progression is lost. And that means: I need to replay all of the tutorials, tryouts and have to see all the same cutscenes again. For the first 20h of playtime this will be 8-10h of unskippable cutscenes and tutorials.

Nope thanks. And: 2k, what the hell is wrong with you guys?

Unverständlich, wie man für diese Erfahrung weniger als 20€ ausgeben wöllte. Vergleichsweise kurz - ja. Aber auf den Punkt und so unglaublich gut, dass ich im Nachhinein gern noch mehr ausgegeben hätte. In jeder Minute merkt man, wieviel Liebe über die Jahre in dieses Spiel geflossen sind. Das kann und sollte man honorieren.
