Maps are pretty bad, very little ingenuity went into any of them - they are all catered towards perma-sprint, corner jumping, drop shotting gameplay. Add in some variety in maps and modify some negatives to accuracy when jumping and it could be a lot better.

Game has so much potential, but mods are required to fill in many many gaps to make the game truly enjoyable. However mods are not supported, and you will most likely spend more time debugging the mod load order than playing the game.

Words don't do the game justice. If you like in depth, RPG-style games, get this.

SPAZ, where to begin with this game?

It is fun, perhaps not as intuitive as could be, interactive, perhaps sometimes montonous, especially on the first play-through when 'rez' farming becomes a regular occurence as countless little ships of yours get blasted into the dark abyss of space. It's design features and artistic styling leaves little to be desired; there truly is something for everything in this game! The faction system appears bleak, with the UTA, CIV, and Bounty Hunters not being fully exploited to their potential; the game uses the excuse that different star-systems don't communicate, and as such your reputation is reset to a set level in each system, a much better idea could be to have an option of this, but also a ranking system within a faction. Right now 'respect' is the only obtainable quantity with a faction (BH), and even that has miniscule effects on the game.

The personalised feel to the game is something that draws you in and, more importantly, makes you want to stay. This game is so engaging, I can see myself losing countless more hours to it! I highly recommend this game, and though the £6.99 price tag may at first appear quite steep, believe me, the hours of fun you will get out of this game makes it all worthwhile.
