This is a good time to jump into darktide, the game has ben polished the crafting system severly improved, and the gameplay is top notch though this last one they nailed from the start.
If you are into 40k you need to try this

I will start by saying this game has become hot garbage.

The game i loved that launched back in 2019 is gone.
I paid 60 euros for the game and bungie mercilessly took away the main campaign, multiplayer maps and strikes, everything...

This is the problem with some of these crapy live service games, developers can take out large portions of the game you paid for.

The game has become a list of tasks you must complete each week to get your pinacle rewards, nothing more, just repetitive tasks. 3 multiplayer matches, 3 gambit matches, 3 strikes, and so on...

Stop paying for this game, vote with your wallet, and hurt them where they only care... fiscal year results.

Abandon ship!!!

Best extraction based game period

Sunless skies is a challenging game based on the Cthulu mythos.
You will find yourself sinking hours into this game, a lot of that time will involve reading.
Dont fear for the writing its superb and it a chore to run through the countless pages of text and lines the game has. If you want to have a taste of the kind of writing we have here go play fallen london (a browser text game made by the same team)
Get ready for a lot of exploration, making costly mistakes and some small victories.
The atmosphere is haunting, and at times quite spooky.

La leche

Cuando pensamos en vr encontramos una vasta seleccion de videojuegos, algo que choca con la idea preconcebida que tiene la gente de que el mercado Vr "esta en pañales".

Nada mas lejos de la realidad, no obstante si que hay que señalar que las calidades de los mismos varian en gran medida al igual que sucede con los clasicos juegos de monitor. Aunque en los juegos VR sucede a la inversa que en en el mercado de los juegos de monitor, aqui los juegos de mayor calidad no son los triple AAA sino los juegos indie, en estos ultimos vemos claramente como al pasión de los desarrolladores acaba ganando a la codicia y recursos de estudios enormes.

Uno de estos casos es Onward, un MILSIM (simulador militar) donde el modo en que estan simuladas las armas nos deja boquiabiertos. Aqui las armas no se recargan solas al vaciar el cargador o pulsando una tecla como sucede en otros juegos (fallout 4 por citar alguno). En este juego deberemos liberar el cargador introducido en el arma, sacar uno nuevo de nuestras reservas y colocarlo en el arma, tras lo cual habra que tirar del pasador del fusil para introducir una nueva bala en la recamara. Las mecanicas son similares con otros tipos de armas, pistolas, fusiles de cerrojo, ametralladoras, etc.

El jugador debera aprender como funciona y como se recarga cada arma, preferiblemente en el campo de tiro, para poder hacerlo con soltura cuando los malos esten intentando acribillarnos.

El sistema de movimiento combina "escala de habitacion" (estos son los movimientos que el propio jugador pueda hacer en su cuarto: agacharse, desplazarse, etc...) con "Free locomotion" (en este caso el propio pad tactil del mando puede usarse para desplazar al personaje). Este sistema de movimiento es el que mas libertad da al jugador, aunque si bien es cierto al principio puede producir sensacion de mareo o desequilibrio al jugador, no obstante el cuerpo acaba acostumbarndose de manera permanente enseguida (al menos asi es en mi caso).

El juego tiene una playerbase bastante asidua, asi que no suele costar mucho encontrar partidas. Aunque logicamente la barrera de entrada del precio que tienen los sistemas vr hace que no podamos hablar de cifras de jugadores como con en los shooter a los que estamos habituados en consola u ordenador. De todas formas para llevar tu experiencia a otro nivel deberias pensar en jugar con amigos ya que la coordinacion y comunicacion es crucial en algunas situaciones.

Tecnicamente el juego es muy superior a lo que podremos ver en otros titulos vr, asi que si acabas de adquirir el vive o el oculus y buscas un buen juego de tiros con una inmersion brutal y que ofrezca todo lo que un sistema vr es capaz, este es uno de los titulos por los que deberias empezar.

A game both beautifull and challenging.
At its heart is a plataformer, but don´t get fooled by the cartoony visuals this is not a family game.
In fact is quite difficult, the bosses will test your might and patience, and sometimes you might need to gain some power before atempting to kill some of them.
Basically when you kill a baddie you collect the money (or however the gameworld currency is named) they drop and with it you are able to buy items like maps, protections, keys, etc...
So if you are in dire need of an item that can help you beat a boss dont feel bad to take the grindy road.
Somehow it feels like dark souls, is gritty, hard and can make you loose your patience, but is beautifull too and the lore unfolds slowly before you..

Probably saying this game is awesome isn´t much revealing at this point. But still i wanted to give my thumbs up to the game. Some may say the alien doesn´t behave exactly like in the first movies, and i have to say they are right, but its behavior is needed as it is to make it a viable stealth/scary/survival game.

One time in pursue of my objective i found the alien right in the middle of my path, it wasn´t looking at me so i took my chances and tried to pass by, suddenly (maybe it smelled me) it turned back and started charging at me while emiting that iconic sound.
I managed to manually close a door standing between him and me. I knew the door would open eventually or it would end up using the vents so i squeezed into a locker, i heard the door unlocking and that meant it would be close in any second.
I saw a dark figure on the left corner of my eye looking for me, apparetly it got bored of looking for its dinner.
Thats what i thought until it tore apart the locker doors. And there it was screaming at me with its mouth wide open, then a bite followed and split second after just darkness.

The game may have its problems, but you cant tell me this ain´t awesome.

Another example from telltale of how narrative driven experiences should be done. Borderlands as well as telltale fans will find themselves at home with this new installment that perfectly blends the narrative of games such as "the wolf among us" with the borderlands lore and its ridiculous homour.
The acting just like always its superb, this time Troy Baker joins the cast performing Rhys.
I almost forgot to mention that if you have both the pre-sequel and tales from the borderlands, you will be able to port some of your findings and loot into the presequel.

Otro ejemplo de telltale games de como se deben contar historias. Los fans tanto de borderlands y de jeugos como "Wolf among us" se sentiran en casa en este nuevo juego que consigue compaginar perfectamente la fluida narrativa de telltale con el lore y disparatado humor de borderlands.
Las voces y actuaciones son como siempre geniales, eta vez se une Troy baker al reparto actuando de Rhys.
Por si fuera poco aquellos que dispongan tambien del Borderlands the presequel podran traer a este ultimo su botin y hallazgos.

Estamos ante un sandbox de zombies, si buscais una experiencia proxima a walking dead es este juego el que estabais buscando.
En este juego estaremos al cargo de una comunidad de supervivientes que dia a dia tiene que mantener alejados a los zombies, sin embargo los recursos no son limitados (el jugador debera vigilar las existencias de las que dispone la base), por lo que de vez en cuando tendremos que ir a buscar medicamentos, municioes, comida u otros.
Podemos construiri mejoras en nuestra base, crear puestos avanzados en casas que tengamos aseguradas, llamar por radio a los otros supervivientes para que saqueen el edificio por nosotros amen de otras cosas (es un juego con bastantes posibilidades.
Se nos presenta un mapa abierto, el cual el jugador podra explorar a su gusto, ya sea a pie o en coche, ademas el juego
planteara unas cuantas misiones principales que haran avanzar la trama, no obstante también podemos dedicarnos a saquear o explorar por nuestra cuenta.
Y cuando tu personaje este hecho polvo no olvides dejarlo descansando en al base y utilizar a otro.
