Favourite metroidvania game of all time

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Great gameplay, great story, great characters.

I wish a few more things were updated but it's still Dark souls and I still love it.

Probably the first game I wish I could forget so I could experience it again for the first time.

I hope this game ends up being a case study alongside fallout 76 on how a business can destroy all the good faith and support it had from it's supporters.

Great soundtracks are getting more common in games now. But having the soundtrack as part of the gameplay means I cannot get it out of my head even after I stop playing.

Been playing since season zero and thank god I can now uninstall Origin

If you do get this game, find the ARKs and unlock as many of the abilities and weapons as you can as soon as possible. The combat is certainly the highpoint of this game and is very reminiscent of DOOM 2016 but with added superpowers. My biggest gripe is that everything between the combat is mediocre at best. The open world feels empty and the driving isn't very enjoyable. While I am recommending this game it really depends on the type of person you are. If you want Mad Max with better combat or need something to keep you going until DOOM ETERNAL then get this game, otherwise wait for a sale before checking it out.

Edit: I've now finished the insultingly short story and feel like I should update my review.

The combat is the only good thing about this game and I can no longer recommend this game at full price. If you want this game wait for a significant discount as right now it isn't worth the money its charging.
