Wish there was a yes/no option, but I am more no than yes. I love the story and era of the Three Kingdoms/fall of the Han. Wo Long just goes too weird for me too early and the bosses are not enjoyable challenges, just annoying. The voice acting is bad. Not campy, distractingly bad. So much so I started skipping cutscenes. The hub areas are all cliffs and bridges to cram more stuff vertically into a smaller area. Preferred Nioh's camps/menus between missions.

I didn't get far before putting it down because the gear drops are wild in scaling and heard the "story" campaign ends pretty abruptly early into the three kingdoms era which feels lazy to me. There could be dozens of distinct battlegrounds and hundreds of characters/enemies/bosses etc and they when the DW Origins option of just doing like a teaser and trickling some more in with DLC. Then seem to have given up on the DLC because players jumped ship.

Its sad because the weapons are fun and relatively distinct from NIOH and Dark Souls. I like the acrobatics and stances. Even the character creator was not bad, created a Dynasty Warriors version of Geralt. But the NPCs are jarringly bad and the missions were not enjoyable. The player seems to have no agency on events and its always just "country failing because random Lt General drank some elixer" and Cao Cao is in the corner of the room brooding while Sun Jian is yelling and Guan Yu talks about brothers being brotherly.

Playing Wo Long for like five hours resutled in my going back to Nioh 2 instead of finishing this game.

I love warhammer and this game seems fine. I just hate playing with randoms and dont get any satsifaction from the more punishing difficulties in games like vermintide.

Game is fine if you like online PVE. Just wish it had solo or would let you play alone online with bots.

Some steps backward (armor options reduced for one) and 15-30 (sometimes under ten) FPS w a 10700K and 3080 ti. **Edit seems to have been due to Windows 11. Installed 10 and it runs great.

Overall, pretty disappointed at the moment, but if they sort out the performance its probably great. Thumbs up is due soley to love of the first game, which I may go back to instead. Nothing in this one really grips me or makes me want to keep playing.

Modding scene is decent for a new game too.

Disappointed at the expeditions being timed events with one time rewards (a big reason why I dont play live service games as a rule) but they have vastly improved the game over where it started. Its very chill most of time with some light story campaign elements.

Worth buying at full price to support the devs.

1080 with graphics maxed and it looks great. Only noticable stutters were in cutscenes.

Content-wise, its everything one would want in a remake. Added voice acting for Isaac and some points from DS2 were adapted and it only improved the game. Its more immersive to have Isaac interacting with the other characters.

Lots of backtracking and linear for sake of pacing, despite most of the ship being accessible after a certain point of the game.

Personally, I have no negatives to say and would recommend the purchase so we might possibly get DS2 remade as well.

Decent look to the gear, but poor stats mean you will probably never use it. Free though like most of the DLC for the first game.

@Devs -- Make a option to set gear for visual appearance only like the pre order outfits. I would wear this over most of the mixmatched normal equipment. Its cool to be able to mix and match gear now, but most of it just clashes in design to the point that the option to do so only supports the RNG gear pickups. Im only wearing the pre-order stuff to not have to look at the mix of tank and ranger stuff. Also, bring back some of Crane's outfits as visual only options (not his face cus we know...).

Loved the first one and enjoying this one. Stamina feels like a bigger deal since it had to be "balanced" against the armor mods and skill tree. Harder enemies are not as spongey as I feared when they espoused the RPG aspects. I dislike RNG on principle, but I have not suffered for it terribly 20 hours in. Overall feels like an improvement across the board. I am dubious about the 500 hours of content claims though.

Glitch and performance wise-a 2070 super is handling everything on high well between 70 and 100 FPS with only a few graphical bugs when opening chests. That was fixed on the first patch. No other craziness for me, I expect some folks to blame the weird ragdolls on bugs but the game is geared towards RPG-ness so you can build towards a hefty knockback (ie impact) set without realizing it until you hit a zombie or bandit over a building. Turning on ray tracing dropped me into the 45-60 fps range with 'DX 12 Ultra RTX' but i didnt personally notice much visual improvement (ray tracing here seems mainly to affect the flashlight). Anything less than 2070 might struggle to do 1080p at high. I dont bother with 4k so I have no comment their. Just know your machine's capabilities.

Haven't beat it but it is a solid 7/10. Wish the map was bigger/more areas, but I enjoy the story and gameplay better than the first game. Only real dislike is forcing multiple playthroughs to experience all the characters/missions. I probably won't get around to that so I will miss some undoubtbly interesting things. If they support this one post-launch as much as the last one, there will be good times ahead.

Fun-ish with friends, terrible with bots.

Semi-random spawns so very inconsistent difficulty even on easy. Way too many mutation spawns as well. Game needs mods before I can recommend it. Cards make it a little more interesting than L4D, but it suffers comparatively from the lack of mod support.

4-5 months later and nothing to this pass at all. Tons of little bugs and takes a few minutes to find folks everytime. Game is fine but this pass is a waste of money

Own it over on Epic as well, beat it there once.

Mods make it better, but the era they chose for the game (director's preferred time period) severely limits the roster of mechs. The game itself feels...cumbersome in many ways and the AI of your teammates is vastly inferior to the enemies. Not a lot of agency to the campaign and the endlessness of the rest didn't feel engaging to me at all.

Recommending only because it is mechwarrior but its like deathwing is to the warharmmer community, the only real option for that FPS niche over there. I ended up spending an afternoon trying and succeeding to get MW4 mercs working. had more fun playing that for the 30th time lol
