Story mode is fun and thoughtful, and the challenge mode is already addictive and competitive.

This game falls victim to one of the worst sins a narrative based game can fall victim too: cringey, unnatural voice acting. The forced stuttering and chummy nature of the characters from the first minute just grated on us for the entire game. The gameplay is actually really cool. But don't expect this game to blow your mind from a story standpoint. Other games like Gone Home were much more effective in what this game tries to do. Basically, this game overstays its welcome and doesn't deliver on the suspense it tries to build. Great visuals. Fun, walking sim/exploration gameplay. Bad voice acting. Unnatural writing and dialog. A few bugs here and there. A story that winds up being underwhelming. I would stay away from this one if you're looking for a passive game with an intriguing story.

Event[0] draws from many influences across different genres and media to form an engaging interactive experience between player and game. Everything you need to complete the game is in front of you if you look hard enough and experiment enough. The player really does have to think outside the box at different points in the game, and for those who like text adventures, this game should scratch a particular itch for you. The biggest downside of this game is that it's relatively short, even for this type of game. The game finishes as soon as it truly starts to grab you. The game doesn't overstay its welcome, but I think there's a good chance the player will be left wanting a little bit more. Still, if you have 2-3 hours and a dark room, you're in for a treat. Event[0] is also fun to play with another person participating with you. My wife and I had fun thinking of different ways of solving puzzles and progressing through the game, as well as trying to explore various story elements.

A great puzzle platformer! Great attention to detail and creative scenarios all the way through. It's amazing how the game mixes and matches elements to create whole new puzzles throughout the game. The presentation is far above what I was expecting and the whole game has been a joy to play (even when it has been INFURIATINGLY tough). It's been very rewarding and I can't wait to finish the last part of the game.
