The game is incredible and I'm absolutely addicted.
However, the optimization could've been better.
It also really needs some QOL interface additions, like a tooltip pop-up delay setting.

more of the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ base game with incredibly lazy boss and world design. repurposed models and designs from bloodborne and souls series. don't recommend unless you really enjoyed elden ring and just want more of the same.

Clunky controls and mid storyline, while the gameplay concepts and lore are quite interesting. Overall decent open world action game. Loved and 100%-ed it on PS4, wanted to replay before going into its sequel, but found very boring on a second playthrough.

I liked the game on an emotional level. Puzzle mechanics were more interesting than in the first one, but the actual difficulty is very, very easy until you get to West 3 and Gold Puzzles. Puzzle rooms on average take 30 seconds to 2 minutes to solve. A considerable amount of puzzles can be skipped through simple parkour that's absolutely obvious the moment you see the room's layout.

Just like the first game, Talos 2 consists of hub worlds (12 total, 3 for each region), and each of them has 10 puzzles + 2 star riddles + 1 gold puzzle. The thing is, a lot of puzzle rooms allow you to take almost every tool outside or back inside, thus you can additionally cheese some puzzles by having more tools than intended.

Overall conclusion on puzzles: pretty easy, too much cheese and skip opportunities, but mechanics are fun.

The story is quite simple but engaging. There are dozens of fully voiced characters you can speak to with an okay dialogue system, and your answers matter for the city story line conclusion. The main game has multiple endings you simply choose before the final cutscene and lets you replay the ending sequence so you can watch them all, but if you're an achievement hunter and want to see every outcome of the city story line, you will need to make save backups somewhere mid-game.

Overall conclusion on story: good, but forgettable.

Music score and world design are absolutely fantastic and beautiful, but there is a letdown: performance. The game does not run perfectly at the moment and you might need to make tweaks in the Engine.ini to make it playable (I could not achieve consistent 60+ fps on RTX 2060 on lowest settings without these tweaks).

Overall conclusion on the game: beautiful world and music, peaceful exploration, engaging story with good voice acting, easy but satisfying puzzles, poor performance.
