The worst part about this game is that there is not much experiences like it. Truly unique.

As is usually said I wish there was a neutral option for the review. Aesthetics, music, gameplay is still good, but for me, there were a few things that ruined joy.

You could often see in negative reviews for the original game issues with placing your character since you don't have a model, I don't agree with that in the original game since the blocks there are square blocks, so you get used it. Here however you have round tubes, faucets, and god knows what else, add to this some new environment elements from which you can fall WHILE sneaking, and scoring these pixel perfect jumps becomes a nightmare.

Contrary to the original game where you ( mainly ) get introduced to something new like new jump or new environment element in places where you can safely fall or fall is not a big deal, here you for example encounter water blocks the first time over 200m abyss, while also having to do something around 15 jumps. Some of the hardest jumps you literally encounter for the first time when doing them over 100-150m abyss, and not only you have to do them while risking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of progress, unlike the original game where the riskiest jumps were usually the easiest, you actually have to learn how to do them, with every fail taking immense amounts of time. This map is much more difficult, not because of the 'raw' difficulty of jumps ( which is def more than the original game ), but because of the fact that there are sequences of like 30 risky jumps all over the place, some of which are really difficult and require almost pixel perfection.

Another issue is basically the lack of natural skips and just more 'linear' and at the same time labyrinthine the main route, imo in original game you found skips literally by learning that some jump is actually possible which felt amazing or by noticing some hidden ladder. This dlc also has some such skips; however when I decided to check out playthoughts due to the fact that I couldn't bear the agony anymore I found out that this is some kind of absolute clown fiesta such as jumping 80m down on the new trampoline, and from there on some solitary ladder, there is no way you actually find something like this unless you search for them intentionally in practice mode. Meanwhile in some places you encounter invisible walls. Hell, later in the game you usually get stuck just searching where should jump to do it the 'ordinary' way, not even searching for some skip. I cannot blame the developer since the game is aimed at the people who already know majority of mechanics, but anyway.

I'm leaving a positive review, since the developer allowed assets to be used in custom maps for free which deserved respect, and it was still fun in its own way, but imo I enjoyed this dlc much less than the original game.

Absolute rngfiesta. Once you understand mechanics, it turns into just simple repetitive grind with small chance to f**k you up even if you do everything right. Happened to me at the end of my playthough in which i've sinked a multiple hours.
