This was a wonderful game, and if you liked the original you WOULD like this one. It probably has a few less scary moments for those of you who found the first a little too frightening, and focuses a tad more on story with a lot more voice acting.

The only negative thing I can say (and I will try to keep this spoiler free) is that there are numerous technologies that you need to scan to use that are only located in ONE SPOT that you can miss on your entire playthrough and thus never ever get to use any of those. I finished the game spoiler free and finally went and googled where the heck these things were and was pretty bummed to see I missed them all in one underwater location I never found.

I came back and bought/played this game AFTER playing Hades.
The gameplay is fun, the story is good, and the music is AMAZING. I'm not even someone who usually gushes over the soundtracks but it really pulled the whole thing together. It had a few minor issues, such as the shield locking onto targets, but you can tell that supergiant games learned from this and fixed it in there other titles. Great game for the price, do recommend.

This was a unique RPG with a pace somewhere in between a turn based game such as divinity original sin, and an action rpg like diablo.

The multiple "realms" you shift between kept things interesting, and I had to constantly make sure to go back and forth between worlds to not miss anything (and yet I still did).

Very unique premise, great voice acting, and wonderful cut scenes, though I did struggle to follow the story at some times.

I started this game thinking, like many others, "oh, subnautica in space" and honestly I shouldn't have. It set my expectations way off. It is similar in the way you gather resources and hurry back home but I didn't get to build much until I was 5+ hours into the game. It was very enjoyable on its own merits, and unsuspectingly poked fun at many MANY other games in the last few hours where it really picked up.
The game gets better the further you go IMO, but don't expect to be building up a big base like you saw in the trailer during the campaign.

Just finished the 5th boss in early access. This was the longest I've ever enjoyed a survival RPG. It's a strange mix of darksouls level threats in combat and minecraft building in a pretty unforgiving world. You are rewarded for massively preparing before boss fights, testing different damage types, and experimenting to see what works and what doesn't on each opponent. For an early access game was very solid and only had a couple of small glitches in near 80 hours of gameplay (such as a creature spawning inside a wall for example). Looking forward to seeing what else they will release for this game, and will be back when they add more content.

9/10 Would fight for Odin again.

I played on keyboard and mouse after reading in the discussions that that worked fine, but in truth I had some troubles in some places and it felt a bit rough.

That said, the art and music were gorgeous, and the story was abstract, confusing, yet left me wanting even more. Definately would recommend if you can pick up for a good price.

Took me 3.5 hours to finish.

This was an incredibly surprising and heartwarming game. I did not expect these feels. The mechanic with the yarn was very fresh, new, and welcome and lead to a lot of interesting problem solving. This game was like a nice trip to grandmas house. 10/10 with cookies.

Gameplay lasted me 7.5 hours, purchased when the game was $49.99 (got on sale for $44.99)
The ending felt like a cop out, leaving zero closure.
The amount of time spent watching cutscenes made this less of a game and more a visual novel, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it's worth knowing going into it.
The graphics and music were BEAUTIFUL but for such a short game with so little time playing as opposed to watching, and little in the way of an ending, I feel like it should be a fraction of the cost.
I leave it feeling disapointed, and if they make a sequel to it I probably wouldn't pick it up.

I've never bothered to write a review for a game before, but THIS. THIIIIIS. Hours into the game, I was STILL getting hit with curveballs. You feel like you finally figured out how the systems work and they change the rules again. 11/10, would get confused again.
