Just buy that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and try it (especially since it's on sale right now)
1) The protagonist that will make you want to delete your steam account
2) Mind bending story with a lot of unexpected plot twists
3) Beautiful art style and attention to each and every small detail
4) Lots of different puzzles quite well put into the game
5) This game will break your logical thinking sometimes, don't worry
Overall: its an amazing first experience in retro-styled Point&Click adventure

Early Access Review
In short: worse than original, wait at least some time.
I doubt you would find much people with more than 10 hours in that game, since its actually in Pre Early Access. At best.
As of now, this part pales in comparison to the original. The problem doesn't only lie in temporary lack of content, to me its the feeling of adventure thats missing. In the original game you are left alone on the planet with no actual hints on what to do. Its your adventure, and you are free to progress as you want, meanwhile in that "spin-off" you are told what you need to do by your "sister" that you contact pretty often, ruining any sense of actually discovering something for yourself.
Also after a week and several days after official release there was no update to the game what so ever, so none of the bugs, that are usually fixed in the "first day patch", are actually even aknowledged it seems.
Conclusion: Just wait at least half a year before actually trying the game.

First of all, this game is not essential, you can complete Danganronpa series without it, since it doesn't contain anything actually important. So feel free to skip it if you feel like it.
Gameplay: really poor overall. Although, the idea behind different bullets is really original, and the game is trying to make you use most of them in different situations, but eventually it all turns into a (really slow) walking walking simulator of a shooting range with a lot of repetitive actions. Even on max difficulty the game won't be challenging for people with any experience in fps games.
Plot: probabably the only thing that made me somewhat interested and kept me motivated throughout the game. The ending was amazing, destroying my expectations with each choice I made. The use of children in the game made me somewhat reluctant to progress though.
Music/atmosphere/etc: thats catchy, as always, cuz its danganronpa afterall
Overall: its okay if you get it on sale and its not really long either, so you might want to give it a try
